No thread, has just been known for a long, long time.

It's been known he may not make the grades. Today was his official enrollment to Kilgore.

Sorry, but you won't rustle any A&M jimmies with this. For a long time now, we've been certain that he would not make it to A&M.

Not trying to rustle jimmies. Just posting that it was official. Oh, and despite y'all reports, there were plenty if Aggies arguing with me about his grades last year saying he would qualify. I think most with sense knew he wouldn't.

That argument ended in August.

Seriously. I wasn't. And he was the #1 recruit in Texas according to Hamm at some point early last year.

He fell to 3 stars on rivals the moment word got out about his grades.

He was a full blown 5* until everything about his grades came out

Yep.. we knew. Hell, for a time there, he stopped going to school all together, and the coaches kicked him off the team.
To be honest, I am not sure if he will ever make it to D1.. Just doesn't see to be able to do the school thing.

Not everyone is out for jimmies... I, and many others just pass along info.

Just a bad deal.. Unquestioned State top 2-3 talent who just couldn't get his shite together.
Like Derrick Griffin last year...

Terrible. I know some people just aren't as intelligent as others... But HS is not hard. You really have got to not give a shite to not be able to get through. I mean, straight up not going to school? That's thug behavior and you're throwing away the one good thing you could have going for you.

Cut the kid some slack. He had a stripper girlfriend, so he had distractions.

I graduated from La Porte (same school as Hoza Scott) and still have lots of contacts there within the school, one being my mom is a teacher there. According to these sources he has not attended a class since like October, has a terrible attitude all the time, and never went to practice. I even heard that when recruiters from LSU came to see him he was not at practice that day and when the LSU guys asked coach LaReau where he was he said he misses practice regularly, that was the last LSU tried going after him.
It's a shame because I always want someone from my home town to do well, but in all honesty I think a&m is dodging a wasted scholarship with this kid now.
FWIW, I also heard that Sumlin revoked his scholarship a long time ago until he proved he could do well in the classroom.
Also, I graduated with one of his cousins, and several of them have gone through La Porte football. Without getting into too much detail the kids attitude isn't a huge shock.
