currently committed to yall and it seems yall have backed off....any reasoning there? feel good about elam or what?

this thread is for civil conversation...if at all possible haha

quote:

A new name to watch out for is Wilkinson County High School defensive tackle Johnny Dwight. The 6-3, 300-pound Alabama commitment from Rochelle, Georgia has been a target of LSU's for some time, but things cooled off once he committed to the Crimson Tide. Well, the door may be opening again as we have learned that he has been reaching out to LSU's staffers regularly as his contact with Alabama dwindles. From what we have gathered, he hasn't set up an official visit to LSU, yet, but it's very likely that it will transpire soon. Multiple sources in Georgia feel that LSU will land Dwight, which would be somewhat of a shock to most fans because his name has been rarely mentioned in regards to LSU. From all the info I have gathered, expect him to be in the LSU class if everything works out as planned.

I've never been too high on him really, not sure how the staff feels, but I wouldn't mind him going elsewhere.

If we backed off, and I haven't heard that we have, it would be due to grades.

He's always been a grade risk.

Why? Kid can run for a 300 lb DT. Shows a lot of want to tackle.

This isn't Bama's prototypical DT.

I don't buy this I think it took a minor miracle to get Lacy qualified and Saban handled it. So this kid should be child's play.

Just another example of Bama allowing a kid to commit early even though it had no intention of honoring that commit should the space he occupies be needed.

I don't give a shite as long as he ends up in Purp n Gold. Kid fits our system perfectly.

a 300 LB DT who moves well will fit in anyone's system... probably the best interior DL saban's produced, marcel dareus, fits this description.

umm, why should I be crying? Haven't even heard his name in relationship to UGA all year. Even with the overhaul of the defensive staff.

Be honest with yourself. The moment you heard he had committed, did you really think he would still be on the roll come NSD?

It doesn't mean I don't like him, just I don't think, from what I've seen, he's worth a scholly over other, better players.

Gotcha...obviously needs to learn some technique. Comes off the ball too high at times, but you gotta love that motor. Would love to get him.

I'm sure he's a good player, and to even get an offer from the staff means more than my opinion. I hope wherever he plays at he has success.
