He has had a boat load of sucess and only lost two game this year. Most teams would kill for a season like that and he is going all dictator and switching to much staff in my opinion. I just have never seen a coach do this for two losses. Can someone from BAMA please explain. Thanks. And no im not obssesed with saban and bama check my old post. I think saban is an excellent coach. Just curious to why the freak out is occuring!!!! Thanks

He didn't fire anyone. They left for other jobs. Saban still has his right hand man in Kirby Smart and two coaches he has worked with previously in Steele and Davis. I think Nussmeier leaving for Michigan had been in the works for a while, which is why Saban had Kiffin come in early December to evaluate the offense. Nuss leaving was mutual. No big deal.

Midlife crisis. It's his version of getting a divorce and a sports car.

10 or 11 wins may be considered a good season by most coaches, but it isn't for Saban, that's what makes him the best.

I think you missed the boat on this one.

Look back last year after the TAMU game and CNS was clearly not pleased with the play calling in the first half or on 1st and goal from the 6. He stated at halftime of the SECCG that we were going to run the ball more in the 2nd half, so clearly there was tension there, but we won the BCSNC an it was AJ's final year so WHY CHANGE.....

Also, last spring after the title game 4 players got booted for robbery. Add to that Kamara was negative recruiting his own team..... hence the coaches didn't do due dilligence when evaluating some recruits or allowed some to go astray once they got on campus by not forming close enough bonds.

Kirby Smart wasn't coaching DBs and if showed.

CNS, is always on top of any situation, and heads rolled imho on offense because the OC and CNS didn't agree in philosophy, that had zero to do with the hurry up no huddle, but was instead a wrong call wrong time difference of oppinion. We rarely used the TE and never rolled out on first down to hit the H-BACK for 5 yards on the backside.

DBs were awful, clearly K.S. should be moved back to coaching them.

CNS, has a reason for every move he makes.

Maybe Nus blocked one of Saban's shots last winter so he had to go before the coaches winter basketball got started?

On defense the more things change, the more they stay the same.

2007-
DC- Kevin Steele
Secondary- Kirby Smart
D Line- Bo Davis
OLBs- Lance Thompson

2014-
DC- Kirby Smart
D-Line- Bo Davis
ILBs- Kevin Steele
OLBs- Lance Thompson

Kirby Smart on defense and Burton Burns are the only position coaches to be with Saban his entire tenure at Alabama.

I thought NS was the best CB coach ever?

I can't wait to see who he mutually parts ways with next season.

This is pretty standard for us. Don't understand why it has this board in a tizzy.

We have heard for years now that NS is the best CB coach in football and now he will be replaced by his own defensive coordinator. You don't see the humor in that?

Historically he changes staff and coordinators often.

Bobby Williams has been with CNS since his Michigan State days and was probably the one who taught him the electric slide.
