I hate basketball season

Have tried to watch it today. Boring.. Boring.. Boring.. When does football season start? Already missing college football.

I actually kind of like the break. Ready for baseball to start, and hopefully making the LSU game opening weekend here in New Orleans. By the time we finish the victory lap in Omaha, I will be ready for football.

I'm not a basketball fan and my prospective (and as yet unrealized) enjoyment of Kentucky basketball is blocked by the bandwagon "Kentucky fans" that appear from January through April of every year.
The worst are the fans of other SEC football teams.

Basketball needs more huddles, replays, official reviews and endless car commercials to match the excitement of football.

In all fairness the way the games are being called this year has been terrible for the fans watching.

Here's the weird thing I've noticed.
While football is wildly popular in SEC states, it is for the most part also very popular everywhere else in the country. Not to the SEC's religious degree, but its well liked overall.
OTOH, while basketball is pretty popular in every region of the country outside of SEC states, in the SEC states south/east of KY-MO-ARK and north of FL, basketball is so reviled that in order to be one of the "cool kids" you pretty much have to hate basketball and mock it.
