He's finally decided to go through with the USC job. Entirely new D staff for us.

Are we sure about this? Reports about him definitely leaving came out around midnight last night. This AJC article was posted around 1 AM.

Tweet from Wilson
quote:

"I want to thank Georgia, Mark Richt, the players and his awesome staff for the privilege of being a part of UGA! Be blessed. #GoDawgs"

Good luck to him.

I like Wilson, but once he made the decision to leave I'm glad he stuck with it. If he came back merely for family issues I would question whether he really wanted to be here. So would our opponents when recruiting against us.

We need coaches who are sold out on being here and 100% on board with our new DC. With Wilson finally making his mind up, we should have that.

Also, I wouldn't be too surprised if, at some point in the last 24 hours, Wilson was told he had no job to come back to.
