His defenses were the backbone of their 2 east titles during his tenure. GTFO.

Did you see the tweet where someone said Mike Bobos back still hurts for the last 3 seasons.

AND that we were great at stopping the run. 350+ on the ground against Bama cost us the SECCG/NC, not a tipped pass.

frick him.

That's just classless...no wonder he ended up with Petrino. Even if you really thought that only a total shithead would come out and say it.

But, seriously, he couldn't tell the truth and work again, so ....

Sounds more like he's trying to convince himself.

His defense was pretty good for the 2011-2012 season.

That's about it.

Let him say what he wants to say. It worked out well for both sides

He was giving a feel-good presser at Lville same as Pruitt did yesterday for us. He was saying what the fans wanted to hear, it was marketing. Grantham knows damn well there were problems and he was on 680 last week talking about the problems. It's no different than a politician taking credit for shite that he had absolutely nothing to do with, and distancing himself from the bad shite that he actually did have something to do with. He's just a public figure giving a public relations spiel to jack off his new fanbase.

Furthermore, he didn't say his defenses were the backbone. He said he's going to bring his aggressive style of defense to Louisville, the same defense that was part of winning the SEC East 2x. From that you want to extrapolate that he claimed his defense was the backbone. It's just not true. It's not what he said.

ETA-

You are about to get dropped from the list RedPants

This is why I like hearing both sides of every story. I don't agree with some of the low brow GA attacks but I can see why he would say the things he is saying. Nice breakdown.

Time will tell.

I do miss Wilson and Olivadotti.

Pruitt could be great, or he could turn out to be a snake oil salesman.

I get missing the other guys. Do you think we should have matched UL's offer?

ETA: and there is no ulterior motive here, just asking

My Alabama budddy said lookout. I don't know much about him but he said something about a recruiting issue with someone at Alabama and said he was a snake in the grass. It could just be sour grapes but I will reserve judgement.

The recruit he mentioned was Darius Page? Does anyone know this story???
