His best strength is his recruiting. Aubies, do you see him helping to sway anyone thats on the fence? Did he recruit all positions at Auburn or just for his OL?

Didn't he coach at VT last season?

He was at Auburn for a few years before that. He was at VT for less than a year.

They know him better than any other fan base involved with the SEC Recruiting Board.

Simply want to know if he is a dynamic recruiter of all positions or just OL?

LSU has several recruits we are trying to sway to fill our class, but none of the big ones are OL. Just curious if they think he'll help us with those immediately.

You asked them if he helps this years recruiting class. How many of them do you think keeps up with VT recruiting?

Meaning how are they supposed to know who he was recruiting for the last year?

You're a fricking moron.

Curious if they think he'd help LSUs recruiting class this year with the limited time left until NSD and the fact most of our remaining targets are n't OL.

Only Olineman. Don't know if he's the reason we got the guys we did since we had a full staff of recruiters but I'm at least assuming he's part of the reason they came.

Well, Saint has a point. This shite sounds like he is leaving Auburn and you are trying to steal some of his recruits from there, imo. But carry on .

^ or your reading comprehension is on the level of a 4th grader. He's obviously asking if Grimes is a good enough recruiter to have an impact on the LSU recruiting class this late in the recruiting cycle.

fantastic recruiter but other than maybe helping a little with Kelly Jr. I think it's a bigger impact on 2015 and beyond

Yeah, he's a quality recruiter for OL. Doubt he makes much of an impact in this year's cycle, but he certainly will in 2015.

I can't think of any non-lineman where he was the lead guy. With that said our OL recruiting was lights out when he was doing it. Our incredible depth at that position is largely a credit to Grimes. He's not a great technique coach though.

Gotta think Les needs a technique coach a whole lot more than a great recruiter right now. LSU's recruiting is top of the line - Les needs a great oline coach to train and develop the talent.

Les does a lot of coaching the oline himself, so I don't think he's that worried about his guys not getting taught great technique.

Grimes will be able to recruit lineman on a national level, which is good for LSU considering Louisiana doesn't produce but maybe 1 or 2 sec level lineman on an average year.

Could you elaborate?

Meaning, how do you know this? Did you notice bad technique with OLinemen while he was at AU? Do you know quite a bit about OL technique?

Not trolling or flaming either. Legit curious.

Grimes - A&M is very familiar with him. He's a horrible coach, but good recruiter.

Lights-out recruiter.

Has a policy of "do what feels right" in coaching and once we got an o-line of only his guys, it turned to Swiss cheese.

Doesn't really show up if you watch VT's line this past year. They were solid and probably their best line in years.
