I see McGaritys hand in this all the way. I think it means for sure that Richt will be leaving in 2-3 years. Pruitt probably got assured he would be interview #1 for HC if he succeeds here.

Pruitt needs to workout... I haven't seen a good UGA defense since 'Nam...

Man I hope not. I'd rather roll the dice with Bobo than give a guy who's been coaching college ball all of three years.

I hope not. We need an established big named HC. However I like the fact that McGarity is willing to spent cash.

I'm sure Richt got input/his blessing from McGarity but I see it playing out differently. Pruitt played football at Alabama and coached football under Saban at Bama for 5 years. He's only been a DC at FSU for 1 year. I think Richt will retire in 3-5 years at which point Kirby Smart will probably be our new HC and Pruitt will probably take the vacated DC job at Bama and might eventually replace Saban at Bama when he retires.

I can't see CMR leaving if they are successful. Nontheless what a great hire. Now who does he bring in? Unless he has a absolute beast for Dline I think keeping Wilson is not a bad thing. It was the one bright spot this past season on that side of the ball. It would be great if he can snag Sunseri.

Aren't they spending the same on Pruitt for the first three as Grantham?? No change in the spending. 2.55M for three years... Great deal though. Same cash for a better coach.

I was talking to a guy the other day that played for him at Southern during their championship run. He said they were never really all that good athletically. He said they won because Erk wouldn't let them lose. Damn! I want that in a coach. He told me they were over matched in so many games, but Erk just "willed" them to win.

McGarity's hand? Richt checking in to nursing home due to hip pain in 2-3? Head Coach in Waiting?
