What kind of pressure is on Gus and the Auburn team next season?

I would say CGM came into Auburn with pretty manageable expectations.
3-9 previous year, rebuilding, atrocious defense, etc.
He starts with a converted DB at QB and jake holland at LB and comes within 5 individual plays of winning the BCSNCG (if any one play is made, we win)
So what kind of expectations should we have once we get a little better at throwing the ball and fill some gaps on defense? Do we regress in relation to our competition, or improve? What should we expect?

Not much given how much we have coming back and many SEC teams losing their QBs. We could sleepwalk to a 10-2 record but we won't. At most we lose 1 and have a handful of blowouts.
The only pressure will be Auburn administration trying to keep NFL teams from getting Gus away.

Schedule is a bit tougher this year with away games at Uga and Jordan hare west.
We should be better so I expect one loss next year. If we lose 2 I still think it was a good year, it takes a lot and some luck to go undefeated or only have 1 loss in the sec west no matter how good you are.

The kind of pressure that comes with a championship caliber program. I'm guessing Gus thrives in that as well. I am sure they will be expecting to be n the NC mix.

Saban has more pressure. When we beat them again, the meltdown will be epic.

Auburn never does good with preseason expectations. I predict 9 wins.

I hate to sound like a hammer, but i really feel like we at least should get to the playoffs or it is a bust
my expectations may be a little high though, i don't know

I'm content with making it to the SEC Championship game every season or ruining Bama's season.

10 wins next year. He doesn't have pressure though I fully believe he will at least get 10 wins and possibly an sec west championship. Offense will be loaded all we need is the defense to play championship caliber. With the awesome defensive heavy recruiting class coming in...it's looking good.

I think 9-10 wins is a realistic expectation with da 'ship a real possibility but I'm holding off on going full posi.
Less than 9 wins would be a disappointment imo

Gus doesn't give a frick about your expectations. He's the one that said during last summer workouts that we would win now.

My expectations are competing for the SEC west year in year out and at least win the SEC every couple years.
Less than 10 wins will be a disappointment from now on.

He said we should expect to play championship football. If we don't win championships, we aren't playing championship football.
Just playing. Gus could go 8-5 and it would just make people ask "Is Gus really the real deal or did people figure out his offense?" nobody would think anything of it
People expect to win it all next year though just won't be pissed at Gus if we dont

The Offense is better.
The defense is better.
The special teams is worse.
The schedule is brutal, may be the worst in the Nation.
We compete for the West, and that is all I will ever ask.

No pressure from this fan. I'd like to see improvement on the defensive side of the ball but we had no problem scoring points.

We should probably temper expectations to where you wanted the program to be in year two when Gus was hired. For me, this was ten wins and competing for the SEC West.
