It really has to suck as a redshirt going to practice every day in football for months for games you've got no chance to play in when basketball is playing games and you'd probably contribute pretty heavily on day 1...

That's probably why so few actually play 2 sports throughout...

Yeah most kids would hate to be part of a team who is in the national championship race.

Mullen really must see something special in Tiano. It's like we held onto Virgil in case Tiano had a break out year and we lost him. Let's hope he's as good as Dan thinks.

He's going to either get his ring or not get his ring either way, and there isn't anything he can really do to influence it. I'm just saying -- from his perspective, I can easily see why he's ready to be at basketball...

It's different if you are in De'Runnya's shoes and contributing in football...

Only one Sonic in Oxford. It's been super clutch a few times leaving the bars.

I just watched Tiano's highlights for the first time and I have a boner.

Actually... It's basically the same thing as watching Dak play, and I'm ok with that.

Ok...

I guess we will never know all of the story behind why Virgil was asked to greyshirt. It definitely looks like we kept the lesser QB out of the two.

#1 player in MS for 2016 now that Kegler is gone...

Rocking and rolling... Add Newman and we're looking at probable back-to-back top 25 classes in 2015 and 2016...

Virgil isn't close to Tiano in terms of upside. Tiano has a little bit of a baseball hitch in his release that takes very little work to get fixed. He's a kid that will be ready to compete with Staley and Fitz after Dak leaves.

Virgil has literally years in the weight room to put on 40-50 pounds. And at that point who knows how it affects his throwing and athleticism. Doesn't fit our system, not sure why we took his commitment, that is the question.

6'5" and 230 pounds.
6'2" and 165 pounds.

One of these is not ready to be a running threat between tackles in the SEC. And Tiano has great vision on the QB keep, really makes remarkable reads, that's honestly what I think Mullen is seeing.

I'm not sure why this is so hard to understand.

The timing of the thing sucks. There is no debating that. The kid is put in a terrible situation. That we can all agree on.

Looking at which one fits our offense better is not a question though.

I would be ok with this being the kid we are making room for. We need help on the OL.

He's been committed to UF but obviously things are in turmoil there.

His size is the reason. I've read that the staff took Virgil in the event that Tiano blew up.

If CV wasn't an early enrollee this would not be an issue. Either way, in 2 weeks, everyone will forget about it.

It's best just to move on

So, even our staff is hesitant to believe we can hold on to kids with other offers?

No wonder they constantly croot diamonds.

No idea if that's true or not. Just what a lot of people have speculated.
