A poster brings up an interesting point which I would like to hear a Arkansas poster chime in on. Does Arkansas have a rule about not playing in-state schools? Interesting if that's the case. Of course OM is in the SEC too so it makes sense for the two of us to always play but I have no issue with playing a less fortunate team in-state either. We quadruple Alcorn State and Jackson State's athletic budget every year we play them. It is what it is, a rent-a-win but both us and the less fortunate school both accept our part in it. I guess USM will be the less fortunate this year.

There isn't any "rule". It just won't ever happen. The most common opinion is that it's a lose-lose for Arky. If we win, we were supposed to win. If we lose, it's the end of the world. I'd like to see the game... but I know it'll never happen.

I hear what you are saying but I also realize we play in the most difficult division of the hardest conference to win in in the nation. Why make it harder than you have to.

I think it would be a good move for them. Would allow them to compete with schools that are more in line with them both monetarily and in terms of quality of education.
