FWIW JLee agrees w/ BMatt that Marquavius Lewis will apparently choose AU. He is an EE that will sign 2 weeks from this Wednesday. The unknown future of SC's Defensive staff, likely specifically D Line coach could be in AUs favor. Even w/ our struggles on D Garner is thought to be safe and possibly making the known element at AU more stable for ML. I would feel better if Keith at AUC got on board with BMatt & JLee picking AU, He has yet to give an opinion since ML's AU visit.

I'm pretty sure he has Kipp Adams trying to find something out. We need an 'out of the box' DE. One who can already get home to the QB. With his natural abilities, he will blossom once he gets some coaching.
I feel pretty sure Garner will get one of the big DT's. We will, IMO, also take Swain once we know for certain he can be an EE.
2016 though...

Keith just posted Carolina probably still has a slight lead for Lewis and it will go down to the wire. At the very least AU has made up a lot of ground on him.

That is likely info deemed from either the USCe/247 guys, or Kipp/JC. 2/3 of which have vested interest in him going to USCe. We $hould $how him what Auburn Fa$t really mean$!

So did we dodge a bullet missing on Watson or is Dabo playing the kid too hurt? He is now out for the second or third time this year

Clemson OL sucks and FR QB is getting killed. He is solid though

Jeff Holland on AU LINK
There is also talk of academic issues with him and apparently there was a wild behavioral situation at the Rivals challenge this summer that dropped him out of the Rivals 250 by itself because his on field play has been very good.

Can you just keep this stuff to yourself? I need my blood pressure to stay down.
Guess our coaches think the caliber of player we have on defense is good enough to get the job done. I mean who can blame them?

We already have TPOS players on D and you want to keep adding some?

If they can play, yes. After watching our defense the last 6 years I'm willing to do anything different.

3* DT Jauntavius Johnson (Lincoln, AL)
4* LB Darrell Williams (Hoover, AL)

3* LB Montavious Atkinson (Fairburn, GA)
4* S Jorden Colbert (Griffin, GA)
3* S Chris Westry (Orange Park, FL)
You know what I don't see on this list???? DEFENSIVE BACKS
You guys can keep firing coaches but until we get SEC caliber players our defense will continue to look like shite

Westry is a career special teamer. We should take is schoy and give it to someone else.

You know who is responsible for acquiring said talent right?

We need CBs and DEs yet somehow we aren't planning to recruit fricking any. Ridiculous at the Chizik forward planning level
I think our safety play improves and DL as well. Our CBs will continue to be our Achilles heel

Would you want to come to Auburn and play for the clowns the coach defense if you were a DB?

EJ has essentially had 1 1/2 classes of recruiting. In those classes, he's managed to sign 15 4* or above defensive players out of the 25 defensive players we've taken. That's not bad. Most of those are freshman that you can't really expect to have a huge impact on the defense yet.
So essentially what I'm saying is we haven't really had enough time to evaluate his recruiting. If you like the recruiting rankings though then we've done pretty good.
