Keith Niebuhr called it. He said Fisher defending players at any cost would help recruiting in the short run.
Of course. These kids see how he handles JW and figure if they go there they can do pretty much anything they want, and as long as they are producing on the field, they won't have to deal with any consequences.

Contrast that to UGA immediately suspending Gurley, or Auburn sitting Whitehead for 5 games and counting.

I think it all comes down to what do the kids (and parents) value more - win at all costs or raise these players to be positive role models and allow them to actually contribute to society.

JP's mom must think he's a F up. Also, that is just bs talk Patrick was going to FSU from Day 1. Long before Jameis started his public weekly thug up.

(Maybe germans, but)One of our 2016 "commits", Jalin Buie is Fin for this year. (Injury?) This should make it somewhat easier to suggest he look elsewhere. He seems like a good kid, and obviously has a big heart to be playing at his size against some serious competition.

Big news for AU. Per ESPN 5* #1 DE Terry Beckner narrowed his list to 5 schools and announce that AU will be one of the 5 that will get an OV from Beckner. Big shout out to Coach Garner and any AU coaches involved in getting TB to decide to OV AU. To get him to want to OV without a visit from either side yet and basically do it all by phone or social mediais massively huge. There is still work to do but awesome job coaches.

Lastly I'm not sure where AU is recruiting TB but ESPN projects to be a 3 tech DT in a 4 man line scheme or a DE or Jack in a 3 man line scheme.

In other news Bailey Sharp got bumped up to a composite 4*.

John Burt update LINK
quote:

Texas' highest ranked 2015 commit to visit Auburn again
34 minutes ago
John Burt, Texas’ highest ranked commitment in 2015, has vacillated back and forth between Texas and Auburn over the last few months. And it’s a cycle that doesn’t appear to be have an end -- at least soon.

Burt, a four-star receiver, was in town for Texas’ game with Iowa State two weeks ago for an unofficial visit. And soon, the 6-foot-3, 180-pound receiver will take another unofficial visit – this time to Auburn. Burt declined to say which of the Tigers’ two remaining home games he’ll attend, but it’s a safe bet he’ll be back there for the second time in a matter of months very soon.

Hmm...Auburn vs. A&M or Auburn vs Samford?

Which one would I go to?

Just saw some SR Highlights from ESPN. He's a DT here. Already looks like one.

I'm pumped about Sharp, Kim, and Harrell. They all seem to be very aggressive run blockers

Tarvarus McFadden to FSU. We weren't ever really in it but I would liked him to go elsewhere

Well the other option was UGA so I'm glad it was FSU.

If we end up with Ivey over Florida, this could be one of our best hauls for the offensive line yet. A lot of grinder players on the line that could end up paving the way for a few years.

AUC notes LINK

Juco 4* DT DJ Jones
-Really enjoyed his AU OV but staff fells he'll be tought to flip from FSU

5* DE Terry Beckner
-AU would like his OV to be for the TAMU game since he never visited AU before and they want him to see the gameday experience
-TB told ESPN his OVs will start after his HS season is over

4* juco DE Marquavius Lewis
-good chance he will OV for TAMU or Samford games
-likely tough to flip from South Carolina

3* Juco De Johnathan Calvin
-enjoyed his AU UOV but will likely not OV AU
-AUC feels his recruitment ain't over yet. He's committed to Miss St

-Nothing new on Byron Cowart, Maurive Swain, GG Robinson, & John Burt

5* DT Daron Payne
-a source apparently close to the AU staff says the staff likes where they are at with DP FWIW
-Some staff feel DP is a bigger priotity for AU than Bama and believe that could play a role

-4* OT Chidi Valentine-Okeke
-2016 recruit trying to reclassify as a 2015 recruit and may be an EE
-UGA likely leads but staff feels they're in it
-Staff would take both Ivey and CVO in this class if they can

Tony Bridges
-Staff still confident
- will visit the Rebs for the Egg Bowl

4* LB Adonis Thomas
-decommitted from UF last week
-AU requested his midseason tape right after
-No offer yet but AT says AU could be a factor if they offer

-No serious concerns with 2015 class on academics

2016 DLs

-Staff liked the visit 4* McTevin Agim, Derrick Brown, Antwuan Jackson, & Marlon David had last week
-likely lead with AJ & MD
-Brown looks to be an AU-UGA battle
-AU feels it has done well with Agim but feels home state may be tough to beat

Per AUR LINK

John Burt
-will UOV AU for the TAMU game and still plans at this point to OV Texas

-FWIW per Allie D on the AUR Rundown podcast Tuesday said 2016 DT Antwuan Jackson texted her after the South Carolina game saying AU was his favorite.

It's early but looks like AU could be on the losing end of another legacy. This time 2016 4* DE Marlon Davidson. If I had a crystal ball pick right now I'd pick Bama LINK
quote:

as a true defensive end they’re (Bama) telling me,” Davidson said. "Unless they need a big guy to get in and pass rush on third down

They (AU) see me playing as a five-technique (defensive end), moving down to a two-technique and three-technique (tackle) in that defense

I’m looking for a school to actually come at me and play me as a true defensive end.
He also says Bama is recruiting him slightly harder and the coach he is closest with is Kirby Smart.
