Sonny Shipp from Geaux247 reporting that 5-star WR Malachi Dupre will visit UA from January 20-22.

Does Bama have a shot here? Maybe Lane can work some of his recruiting magic

From what I've heard from Malachi when I've been around him, he's not a lean to LSU.

I said months ago that I thought UCLA would be a big player and got crucified. Well... I still think they're a serious player for him.

I don't think anyone knows for sure with Dupre. Bama doesn't seem to be favorite but them landing a OV is nothing to sneeze at with Dupre. UCLA continues to look strong in the process.

We continue to hear leaning LSU but those JC kids have a history of going out of state. Either way it's looking like a NSD decision for Dupre. I'm not nearly as confident as Sonny and Shea in regards to Dupre.

After the way this recruiting cycle has gone I wouldn't be surprised to see Dupre go out of state.

A month ago I would've said no doubt he comes to LSU, but it seems like Nola is boycotting LSU this year

He's got friends in his ear that aren't happy with LSU coaches. Someone from JC last year.

You might want to make sure he doesn't talk to all the highly touted WRs. currently rotting away on Bama's roster.

Starters-Amari Cooper,DeAndrew White and Christion Jones.
Currently starting to rot-Chris Black,Raheem Falkins,Robert Foster and ArDarius Stewart.
Fresh blood to begin rotting in 2014- Derek Kief, Cameron Sims and Bo scarbrough.

Malachi Dupre may leave La.,but I think he is too smart to not see how poorly that group is being handled.
Maybe in another post we will get into all the RB.s that are also rotting away.

LSU still leads, but he is far from an LSU lock. It took the #5for5 fiasco for LSU fans to really understand why Dupre isn't a lock.

Like I've said before, it will all come down to his OVs.

I actually agree with you

I am guessing by you posting that he's also OVing FSU? They are a serious threat I would think if he is with all the guys leaving and getting to catch it from Jameis

Also a tidbit I've since heard on Coker, might've changed with Kiffin coming, not sure though. JC still wants to at least leave I know that but a lot of shake-up with Kiffin and more to come at UA right now

Well, White is declaring for the draft, and Coop and Jones have one more year. Falkins and Foster were redshirted as true freshmen. Bo may not play wide receiver. Plus CLK will probably use the receivers better than Nuss.

So maybe the situation is not as bad as it seems?

He was decked out in LSU warmups at his high school team's basketball tournament last weekend in New Orleans.
