I don't know a LSU fan that wasn't excited about the Cam hire
ETA: I live in Bham and all the Bama fans I work with aren't excited about Kiffin, fwiw

Isn't the better question "which was the better hire"? Has everything really been reduced to who gets "rustled" the most now?
I think all of us are uneasy. Bama fans know Lane's public perception and it is not reassuring. Rival fans know of his success as an OC and what he *could* potentially bring to the table UNDER a strong head coach, and are concerned.

I can't speak for the Bama fans but I do know that CMR would never hire someone with the Kiffin's baggage and our admins and fans would never approve of it even if Kiffin was being considered. Kiffin will always be a West Coast guy regardless of where he is coaching.
