It was not official until now. Horrible mistake by Franklin. He is a great coach and could have landed somewhere better. There is still lots of baggage at Penn State.

There will be a power struggle of epic proportions. Paterno people are not going down without a fight.

Agreed. The Paterno folks are going to give him hell. Hope he stands up to them and succeeds.

If he got Vandy winning, he'll do the same at PSU. Solid pickup by them.

I think he is a great coach. He can motivate and recruit very well. He hired good assistant coaches at his time at Vandy.

Hoping Vandy can get a good coach to keep up the momentum CJF started. Living in Nashville and seeing Vandy win two in a row against UT has been EPIC.

Both of their fans must have been pretty wild.

Bad move on his part, IMO.

Best of lucky to Vandy on their next hire.

They did. Williams matched and possibly exceeded PSU's offer. Our biggest booster John Ingram along with Williams and other BoT members met with Franklin yesterday to throw the kitchen sink at him. He stated that he was still undecided when he left then called DW that night to tell him.
