Isn't this the real story?

No one cares about kiffin. We know he is awful. I would think itll be hard to hire top oc due to the 2 losses causing them to be fired

Did the other candidates turn down the bama job?

Aren't you glad the ticker on ESPN is talking Kiffin instead of showing Jameis throwing a game winner?

Wasn't fired. Bama is just a stepping stone school. Not a destination job.

How are these two things even equal? One is about hiring a douche bag at Alabama. The other is about the Heisman winner throwing a winning TD in the BCSNCG. if you are trying to relate this somehow to Auburn, i would say they are inversely proportional.

Kiffin hire benefits Auburn because the guy is a knucklehead. BCSNCG loss sucks, but its one game in a great, great season. Does not diminish AU as SEC Champion.

bama's D was nothing special this year. Let's go hire an iffy OC. That will fix all of the problems.

Kiffin will get those DE's to become monsters. Those CB's are all of a sudden "shutdown corners".

I don't give a shite about Auburn, but I'll go ahead and let you attempt to figure out on your own why this response is really fricking stupid.

Hint: Keyword is "fired."

That's actually a pretty good point. Asking a guy to uproot and move, but if you finish top 5, top 10, adios?

Well that's just not true.

You guys aren't fooling anyone. That loss was soul crushing. This season will be remembered forever by Auburn fans and everyone else as the year that Auburn just couldn't finish the job. "The year we came up short."

10 years from now, nobody will know Auburn as the 2013 SEC Champions. They'll remember them as the team that lost to Florida State in the national championship, which temporarily ended the SEC's streak of dominance.

Florida's 1995 team comes to mind.

Nah, it will be remembered as the year that Auburn beat bama in the IB, ending bama's three-peat, won the SEC, and saban went out and hired Lane Kiffin.....scholars will look back and profess that this was the start of the downfall of Nick Saban.
