What Bama fans really think about Kiffin

We don't like the guy, but there is nothing we can do about it - it is what it is.

Any other fans on here stating unequivocally that Bama fans are "excited" or "thrilled" are just talking out their asses, because we are not, at all. You can make fun all you want, but you are just wishing that we are like the Tennessee Kiffin fans of old - defending the guy when the water was rising around them.

All we can do is look for some sort of silver lining (and I don't see one right now) and hope that he is wildly successful . . . and that our head coach has not lost his marbles.

Speak for yourself. I know he will improve our offense and I am excited about the hire.

When our offense looks like it always has, and we are whooping up on everyone next year, I'll allow you to tell me I was right.

Solid post. I was starting to wonder if there was any Bama fan that realized this is Lane Kiffin we are talking about here. Let that sink in, Lane Kiffin!

Based on what? And honestly, I'm not asking to be a dick, what makes you call this a "home run"?

Thanks for your honesty.

Like I said in another thread.....if anybody else in the SEC had hired Kiffin, the gumps would be giving them absolute hell right now. Because saban hired him, it's a brilliant move.

I am optimistic about the hire....Kiffen knows what the deal is when working for Saban.....I feel like he will toe the line as this job is lifeline for him and rescues his career. If he produces and doesn't become cancer on the staff, he will get another head coaching gig.....Kiffen has to know this.....being under Saban's thumb may be good for him....help him mature and learn what it takes to run a top flight program. .....he is a good X and O guy and a good recruiter....adds some swag to the program.

Last year there were numerous auburn fans not to excited about the hire of Malzahn. That worked out alright. Have I ever liked Kiffin? No. Do I like him now and think he will do a good job with a ton of talent? Yes

I would laugh at anyone getting him as a HC, but I have no problem with him as an assistant.
