Crystal Ball trending SC now. We'll get DJ Smith on Monday and still looking strong for Wesely Green. I like the way things are headed.

wow, that's surprising. I thought he would at least wait on the OV's to make sure it's what he wanted to do. He had a great Sr year and his rankings/ratings bumped up. Good for USC I guess!

Weird day for UF.
Tabor commits.
Lammons tweets that he's concerned about Tabor then tweets he's not scared of competition then decommits.

DJ Smith
He'll be a good player for y'all. Too bad VOLS doesn't have room for him.

You guys have 40+ guys, you have room for everybody and the SEC/NCAA are terrified to do anything about it. #ballerstatus.

247 Crystal Ball is trending even more to SC, now over 60%, several new people picked USC this evening.

Lammons was the prospect that the "insiders" said tried to commit to USC back in July during his visit to Black Magic Camp, but was turned down due to (at the time) our numbers looked like we could only take 3 DBs in a very small class, and we already had Green, Smalls, and Harris in the class.
A lot of things have changed since then. Our #2 CB was already graduating, then our #1 CB leaves early for the draft, and our #3 CB transfers out of the program. Then Green de-commits. So the need for DBs in this class suddenly expanded quite a bit, and we may possibly be able to take Green (if he chooses to re-commit), DJ Smith who's a strong lean to us now, and even Lammons...

3 of the Top 20 CB's would be a really solid group. Hope it works out like that.

UF picks up Tabor and Lammons decommits the same day.
Looks to be USCe bound.
I wish Lammons well except for one day of the year.

No worries, y'all are about to get Brandon Powell and/or Jeff Jones. So that mean Derrell Scott is going to be a no-go for y'all, right?

No clue on Scott. Lot of his interest is pending on the UF visit.

Well, y'all just got that APB to flip from Miami, Brandon Powell. I think this might mean y'all pump the brakes on Scott, but we'll see.

Florida didn’t want a CB with 4.72 40 speed. Understandable I guess

Good enough to defend against Cam Simms.

Georgia announced Thursday that secondary coach Scott Lakatos had resigned for personal reasons. The Bulldogs and USC are in a battle for DB Wesley Green of Lithonia, GA, so that brings up the obvious question of how much this affects Green's thinking about Georgia? "I don't think it's going to be too big," Green's coach Cortez Allen said Friday afternoon. "Coach (Lakatos) wasn't really in a whole lot on what Georgia has going on with Wesley. Coach Grantham and coach Wilson are pretty much the primaries with Wesley and his recruiting with Georgia. I don't know that's going to be a big deal. That may even help." Allen said Green and his father are planning to drive down to Athens this weekend to take a look at the campus. "His dad hasn't been there much," Allen said. "Hes been to USC but he hasn't been to Athens." Because it's still a dead period, Green can't have in person contact with Georgia coaches. Green will take his official visit to USC next weekend and his official to Georgia the following weekend. He's expected to make his decision soon after the visit to Georgia.
