The dude is following Marcel Yates to Boise State. He flipped from A&M. He says he was researching academics after Yates made the move, so Boise State makes sense. Academics should never be a reason to go to Boise State. Not to mention that A&M has a great nursing school (he says he wants to be an RN)... I'm not upset at all. This guy has to be insane.

Offer list:

LSU
Texas A&M
Clemson (he previously committed there)
Auburn
Oklahoma
Notre Dame
Texas
Nebraska
TCU
Baylor

You're making a topic calling a high school student stupid. You are very upset.

I'll change it to crazy... But have you ever seen a guy make a decision like this. I've seen players pass up the bigger schools for academics, but Boise State isn't academics. That's for sure.

LSU, Oklahoma, Texas, Clemson, Auburn, Boise State.

One of these doesn't belong.

I would be happy for the kid if he flipped to Texas tomorrow. I just don't see the point of going to a Petersen-less Boise State.

Every kid has their reasons it is unfair of you to judge a high school kid off speculation. Yates May be a father figure to him. His parents might want him to go withy area because they trust him you never know.

Why Boise over A&M? Well, for one, over the last 10 or so years, Boise has had a superior football product than A&M. He clearly built a great relationship with your secondary coach who then left to go to BSU. He clearly didn't have a great relationship with your remaining coaches. As far as RN schools go, they're all the same. You go to a hospital, and you'll run into a RN from Louisiana Tech, Ole Miss, and Holmes Community College and they're all just as capable.

Why should he go to A&M over Boise?

I hope it works out for him. It doesn't seem very well thought out from the outside.

Because it's what he wants to do.

Shut down the recruiting board. There is nothing more to discuss. Let us all await decisions, knowing that all of these student athletes are infallible.

And obviously he bonded enough with his coach enough to make the decision. If he's good enough he will get more than enough recognition at BSU.
