is Bobo a candidate for the HC job in Nashville if Franklin goes to PSU?...was reading through the thread on the coaching changes board. Did we give Bobo more to stay after the GSU interview or what?..is he a candidate for Vandy?

I feel like Bobo would be a little bit over his head at Vandy.

Why? He's been a really good coordinator, has gotten better every year, and is a great recruiter. I think it would be a really good hire for them.

hmm. I hadn't thought of it until this post, but he could be. Franklin built a decent foundation there and they can pay a competitive salary. I'm sure his name will get tossed around along with Chad Morris at least.

Vandy fans are just like us... Over on their Scout site they're following PSU planes on FlightAware just like common CFB folk...

Looks like Franklin is headed to Penn State, Vandy back to irrelevance.

I guess sources are saying it's official. Heck of a coach. Glad to see him go.

While a step up from Vandy,PSU is not the job it
used to be.Shitty conference, recruiting base is no
where near what it used to be.(Viginia had more
FBS signees than Pa did last year)and very high
expectations...glad to see 'em out of our hair though.

Now we play the "How dumb is Kirby Smart game" again. Dude is a fricking fool if he passes on the Vandy job (if offered).

To each his own, but I honestly believe we finally started to play to our potential rather than Bobo spontaneously becoming an offensive genius. Bobo hasn't proven enough, to me, to warrant that big of a job. He needs to aim for little bit less than Vandy to prove himself as a HC, if he does indeed have head coaching aspirations.

I was impressed with his play calling for most of the year. He has some "wtf" moments but he's been pretty damn sharp most of the time. South Carolina this year was a perfect example.

How about Rev. Richt calling plays and we hire a Special Teams coach?
Richt does not look like he motivates on the sideline. He just looks like he is walking around reciting the gospel. Hire a recruiter/ST's coach and lets roll to another Capitol One Bowl!

Really hope that ship hasn't sailed. Never forget Gurley running it in on Bama in the Dome from the pistol. :dawgboner:
