Big 5 = teams that won a BCS National Title. Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Alabama, Auburn.

So which SEC program was the best in the BCS era outside of those 5?

Georgia? South Carolina? Arkansas?

How would you rank them?

2012 and 2008 Georgia had some awesome teams. I will go with them.

UGA will look back at the BCS era and think how the hell did we not make a BCS championship game

Arky won the West a few times, had a few 10-win seasons, and made a BCS bowl. Would they be 2nd?

2002 team was solid
2012, so close to taking out Bama. And they would have easily handled ND

2007 was a great team too. Stafford was such a beast. Really sucks LSU-UGA didn't happen that year.

Three 10 win seasons, two trips to ATL, and BCS Bowl.

But I'd still go with Georgia. Those early to mid 2000s teams were legit.

The fricking dawgs. No question, it goes without saying.

Wait, Big Five ... where/who is #6? Oh heck, nevermind, I see what you did there and ... you're right!

Yeah, UGA is the only answer.

There is, literally, no way to make any reasonble, rational argument for anyone other than UGA for this question.

Yeah.

Which is why I edited the OP and asked people to rank em all

Don't be this dumb. I'm not exactly sure who you're trying to troll here.

I'm not trying to troll anyone. SCar is a much better program right now. But from 98-now? It's a good debate.

Example: they went to ATL more times than SCar. They went to a BCS bowl, SCar did not. However, SCar has been more consistent

He said we should be second. Read first, mad later.

ETA: Wait you're even arguing us at 2nd? There is absolutely zero way we aren't second here. Are people seriously forgetting SCar's late 1990 teams? Our past two years were the worst in our program's history but they aren't even as bad as SCar's.

Yes, Arky too was consistently better than SCAR in past years.

It would probably look something like ...

Big 5

6 - UGA
7 - Arky
8 - SCAR

... at least for now.

Any of those three would leapfrog Tennessee immediately following a playoff championship in the near future.

I think a better question would be which of these schools had the best team during that era (because hypotheticals and shite).

Georgia - '07 or '12
SCar - '11 or '12
Arkansas '10 or '06

I'd take either Georgia '07 or Arkansas '10
