Kind of shocked at the lack of AU hate...

Not that I think it's deserved; they had a hell of a season. But given the intense flaming of Arkansas after they lost to Ohio State, I figured it'd be pretty rough in here.
Props to the SECR for being reasonable.

And here I was just about to start a thread ragging on Auburn for being the first SEC team in 16 years to lose to a non-SEC opponent in the national title game.
Oh well.
Oh well.

they're fragile, everyone knows that and is trying to pet them a bit.

Remember how it was worse for your parents to be disappointed in you rather than be mad at you?
This is kinda like that.

After Alabama's IB and Sugar Bowl loss, the envious and jealous (mostly Auburn and LSU) were able to release a ton of pent up wrath. I guess there's just so much hate that a person can carry, after that....nothing.

frick Auburn, they had no business being in the game in the first place.

Auburn was a double digit underdog and and gave an ultra talented FSU team all they could stand and then sum. Statistically, Auburn was actually the better team. A missed routine FG and a kick off return for a TD was the difference in the game. Ironically the very thing that won the Iron Bowl for Auburn, special teams, is what lost it for them in the NCG. Still, amazing come back season for Auburn. But Nick Marshall is still a TPOS.

Your whole post is hilarious, especially the hateful part. You're probably the most hateful poster on this board.

Good game against arguably the most talented team that doesn't play on Sunday.
Not much to rag on.

GOsh last year sucked so bad...I forgot how great it is to not have to change my favorite team icon to hope another team could do something my team couldnt...

Some truth to that. But I really believe many SEC fans would have rooted for Bama against FSU anyway (though they might not have admitted it :) had Bama won the SEC, if for no other reason than to just keep the streak alive.
We almost kept it alive anyway.
As it is, five different SEC teams have played in a BCSNCG - with four teams playing in at least 2 title games; and two playing in 3 title games(Bama and LSU).
The SEC is an impressive 9-2 in BCSNCGs.
What other conference even comes remotely close?
And with the advent of the four-team playoff, the SEC should get at least 2 teams in contention to make the Top 4, with 3 or 4 more not far behind.
