SEC should still be proud. In the BCS era,

Ten CFB programs have at least 2 BCSNCG appearances, and 4 of them are SEC: Bama, Auburn, LSU and Florida.
(USC, Miami, FSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State).
3 programs have 3 appearances (2 SEC) : Ohio State (1-2), LSU (2-1), and Alabama (3-0).
Only 2 CFB programs have 4 BCSNCG appearances in the BCS era: Florida State (2-2) and Oklahoma (1-3).
