School me on his recruitment. Was he not targeted heavily by FSU & UF being from the state?

Houston Nutt busted his arse for this kid, told him he was the only RB we were recruiting (which is true) and thought we had him.

Auburn business decisions, mayne.

Yeah, because its a huge shocker that the kid chose an Auburn offer over playing for Houston Nutt at Ole Miss LMFAO.

Nutt was considered a RB guru. I don't see why he wouldn't consider playing under Nutt. He had put DMC, Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis, Dexter McCluster in the NFL at that point.

But you're just trolling so GFY.

I was curious how he made it out of the state. I don't know if I would phrase him as under the radar considering it sounds like Ole Miss was on him heavy. I'm not in tune with Florida prospects. Obviously the guy is talented. Taking Blakely instead kinda sums it up.

Auburn was coming off a National Title, had just put Ben Tate in the NFL, and was coming off a year where we had 2 players rush for 1000 yards and a third damn close to a 1000.

At the time no one knew what tre would become. He was a fallback option on our board after missing on blakely and dee hart. Tre didn't have elite speed for his size.

He's bulked up a ton in the last two years... And still maintained amazing balance and vision. In a lot of ways, he's a perfect back for his offense.

Tre was an underrated guy and we slow played him to see if we could get Mike Blakely. Blakely ended up at UF so we took him from Ole Miss.

If you can't see why a RB would want to go to Auburn over Ole Miss than you're a big time homer.

I wasn't implying Auburn didn't offer anything.

Dude made it out like OM couldn't do anything with him. Simply pointing out how retarded the poster was in making that comment.

I thought Blakely was going to be a big time talent at UF and at AU. what happened to that guy? was he just too stupid to ever get his shite straight?
