Is Charlie Strong really a better candidate than JF? Vandy can't possibly keep him for that much longer, right?

I'm sure this is the first time this topic has been talked about on the SEC-R.

His players do bad things when away from the field.

I think he's coached his last game at Vandy. It seems like he's interviewing for every available job.

Yes.

He's not very polished at all, and a bit of a loose cannon. Because he's at Vandy, and we get distracted by the antics of Muschamp, we forget that JF can be quite the buffoon as well.

He's a really good coach but is also a total clown.

Teams have backed away from Franklin because the assistants they want to surround him with to help him be successful have ugly wives. They know JF wouldn't go for that.

Wouldn't be surprised if he hopped back to the ACC and took the Louisville job.

What would Vanderbilt's record have been this year if Florida, Tennessee and Georgia were anywhere near normal?

Define normal. Sub .500 has been pretty normal for Tennessee lately.

Normal for Tennessee would be beating Vandy 90% of the time.

I think he has a reputation of a being loose cannon and some baggage stemming from the Vandy off-field issues.

Probably 1 of 3 target Florida will go after if Champ doesn't work out and he stays at Vandy.

He's an arrogant a-hole. That usually shines through in interviews. As someone said, though, he will be in a different job next year.

Hell, UGA deprived of its entire offense would have beat Vandy this year except for two BS targeting penalties.

I think he's interviewing with the Redskins. So are a lot of other people so probably won't get it though.

What antics this year? Saban had more antics against the Sooners than Boom had all year. He was very calm this year which was weird considering the results.
