Tonight's game possibly the cheapest BCSCG ticket ever.

As low as $325. The first time the venue has been over 2,000 miles away from both schools. Also, the Rose Bowl has 17,000 more seats than the next largest BCS venue. The Rose Bowl will host a semifinal game next year.
Won't be surprised when semifinal games next year are below $100.

Attendance might end up being more lopsided than the Auburn v Oregon game.

$287 gets you in the door
So pissed because I had to pay $1000 in 2010/2011 and that was lucky just to get in the door (the going rate was $1200)

On the bright side, the low ticket price should help entice fans to actually attend the semifinal games.

if only plane flights and lodging were too.

That's what happens when the "best team" loses to the Sooners.

This is what kept me from going. Maybe if I would of pulled the trigger on plane tickets intially when MSU won but I didnt know how cheap the tickets would be now.

lots of factors at play... FSU isn't really a great traveling fanbase, both fanbases are a long way from Pasadena, the Rose Bowl is the largest BCS venue...
Auburn will have the most fans as a solid TD+ underdog... and over 2,000 miles away... pretty impressive, imo.

I'm a little surprised they're that cheap. I hate both teams but I'm still excited as hell to see them play.

If only I could get off work. I literally live about an hour and a half away from Pasadena

I'd say it's more pathetic on FSU's part. How in the shite is their fan base not flocking to this game? I'd have to believe every single team in the SEC would show up big if they were in FSU's shoes. Save for maybe Vandy.

The Sugar Bowl hosts the other semifinal next year. They better hope an SEC or Big 12 team is in...i.e., a team within driving distance. And they sure better hope a Pac team is in the Rose.
Imagine this scenario...the same top 4 teams are in the playoff next year, and Alabama and Auburn travel to Pasadena for a mulligan game. I wonder if it has been decided which site hosts the 1-4 game and which one hosts the 2-3 game. If they are smart, they'll hold off on that decision until the teams are decided.

Holy shite! You need to do something drastic to get to this game!

You can fly out there at a very reasonable cost, just try the airports not named LAX. As for hotels, there are plenty of them in LA as you might imagine. We stayed at a nice locally owned one (I'd compare it to a Marriott) in between Beverly Hills and Hollywood for $109 a night when we were out there for our game.
Hell, you could fly to Vegas, stay there, and drive over to LA for a night for cheap as shite.
Flights and hotel shouldn't have stopped you.

Something tells me that quitting is not an option for him and being sick is probably not going to be accepted.

Its on TV people. Am I the only person that can't see the game as well in person? When I do go to the games, everyone looks up at the screen to see what happened.

not when i looked about 3 weeks ago when still trying to make the trip.
Options were very limited.

This was the best plan, but the bus taking everyone filled up failry quickly.
also don't make the mistake of understimating how lazy i am.
and when I go to vegas, it's rarely cheap.

I'm not alone in this boat. This trip was going to be much much more expensive than our trip too glendale in 2010. Maybe the bar got set to low with that one on cost and so this one seemed more unreasonable than it should have.
