It is clear as fricking day

Henry is that bruiser no. 1 back we have been missing. Just think of how good he would be and what our season would have been like had he been getting meaningful carries beginning with the VT game.

Yeldon did not improve at all this season, I think you could make a better argument that he has actually digressed since the 2012 LSU game

Alabama definitely missed that Ingram/TRich/Lacy type back who hit defenders like a Mack truck. Yeldon is a fine back once he gets in the open field but he doesn't have the power to get the tough yards like the aforementioned.

Looks to be the case, and Drake's probably more explosive.

Did you watch Yeldon in the SECCG last year? How about the BCSNCG?

Tell me how Yeldon has improved this year, Im sorry, but I just dont see it. It is silly to me, he is not our best back, and it is pretty damn obvious.

Yeldon also had the benefit of Lacy wearing down those defenses. "Look at all those yards after contact Yeldon gets." said no Bama fan ever.

dude, drake is better than yeldon. henry, looks good so far. he looks like it takes more than a shoulder bump to knock him down. on that long run henry had. as he came thru the line he got hit on his left shoulder. i thought, right there is where yeldon goes down.

The fact that anyone with eyeballs can say Yeldon doesn't have power has to be the most hilarious thing I have ever heard. He is significantly stronger than Lacy was.

This run in the SECCG is probably the most brutal run I have ever seen.

this was discussed and concluded ad nauseaum across each board I read and post on, including this one. The constant retort for Yeldon loyalists was "Drake wont buy into the process/Has off field issues"

There is no retort for Yeldon's constant breakdown of ball security inside the red zone as well as his channeling of Kenneth Darby. When Lacy really picked it up last year, I was waiting for Yeldon to do so. It never happened, and still hasnt. This shite about him being grandfathered in the position is going to lose us games. I pray that what needs to happen with the RB depth chart this offseason does happen.

You're confusing Yeldon as a back-up with Yeldon as the premier back. He ran well last year in combination with Lacy. Lacy softened the defense up first, allowing Yeldon to thrive in the role he is meant to play.

If you're going to post the 2012 SEC Championship to highlight Yeldon's strength, be fair and post the short-yardage highlights in the second half of this year's Iron Bowl. Sometimes a back has to take on a defender in crunch time and make a hole to get a yard.

Isn't it bad that you had to go all the way back to the previous season to get a good physical run of Yeldon's?

It's terrible. I'll be the first to say he outright regressed this year.
