I admit it - I really don't like us that much.

I love Alabama football, but I am tired of seeing one of our fans make an arse of himself or herself every week. And most of the rest of us, who aren't criminally insane and make national news, still suffer from entitlement and arrogance. I'm tired of defending it or hoping it will go away. They even have a national show with Paul Finebaum that is basically Jerry Springer with a sports theme,
When it comes to Bama fans, we still have some incredible people and an unequalled tradition. Of course this insanity doesn't represent most of us, but it represents too many of us.
Unfortunately, you don't get to associate yourself with the program but disassociate with the other Bama fans. It doesn't work that way...if it did, I'd do the same thing with Jesus.

The reason most of us care when people represent our school poorly is because it is our school, and we're not just fans of a sports team.

My first Iron Bowl trip to Legion Field in the early 80's solidified my Auburn fandom. Alabama fans are insufferable. Alabama graduates are always cool.
