Walk on DB Daniel Geddes:

quote:

Until you have lined up next to me and my team during the hottest days of an Alabama summer running 110 yard sprints; until your blood, sweat and tears have hit the same blades of grass as mine and my team's; until you have shed tears from mental exhaustion, not physical pain; until you have gotten coached and processed by Nick Saban; until you have heard my story and the stories of the other 129 men next to me; until you have been forced to get underneath a bar with over 500 pounds on it to squat it and 400 pounds on another to bench press it; and last, until you have worn the crimson jersey with your name and number stitched on in white, you have NO right to point your finger at this team collectively or anyone individually.

If I recall, last time we lost the sugar bowl, this program turned around, went 14-0, won an SEC championship, a Heisman, and a national championship. Just wait and watch. It's officially January 3rd. Yesterday is gone. Offseason starts now. Run with us or run from us. We're coming back with vengeance.

Roll Tide to that.

I saw a "kick six" video from the Bama sideline a few weeks ago, and it shows our guys walking off the field, dejected, but looking like they just got done with a battle. Our guys fight hard, and we always need to remember that.

When the best players in the country are motivated, no one is gonna touch em.

Saw this on BOL earlier and sort of the reason you can't put me in the sky is falling category.

We obviously have to make some adjustments in the offseason, but I can't think of anyone better to do so than Saban.

Great story. Some of our fanbase deserved this season. I hate when a self proclaimed Alabama fan goes full tard after we lose a Damn game or two. After winning 3 of 4, lol. But I get it, It's not that they hate the players or the coaches, they just hate their own lives.

I love Bama fans because we are a great fanbase (and I am biased I know) but National Title seasons are something really special and are a rarity. What we have accomplished lately isn't easy or will it be replicated much if at all.

But the curse of being such a consistently successful program is that we can get tunnel vision and really forget to enjoy the little things.

Nice to see the fire from a walk on. Wish we would have seen that from the starters. You can say what you want about JFF, but I respected the way that he was rallying his teammates, getting in their faces, motivating them. Our sideline looked listless while the OU sideline was jumping up and down.

Oh well. This year is over. Hope some leaders will step up and lead our team through this offseason. I hope this loss burns them every day and motivates them to do what it takes to win again.

I agree, but not this guy. I just think back to the luck we needed to just win one, then I thank Jesus for the rest. But I understand that some of our fans started watching football in 2009.

If a UGA player said something like that, our fanbase would tar and feather him. Those players are there to serve our need have pride in the sticker on our truck! Nothing more!

That said.. I wish one of our players would stand up and say something like that.

We won 11 games this year. Should have beat Auburn. There was plenty of fire.

I think so too. But that portion that writes hate letters, and calls out players and coaches every chance they get are sad. Then there's the portion that attacks other fans, kills people, kills trees(the nut sack thing was funny, I don't care who you are) and calls in to the Paul Finebaum show. Those fans need their own island. Supplied with big screen tvs and Alabama clothing and tattoo gun that only writes in red. Hopefully that would keep them busy enough to forget about the real world.

Every fanbase has idiots, we just have a huge fanbase so our idiots stand out more. You don't think LSU has idiot fans? Its just being that we have always been the class of the conference (I mean the power of the SEC cheer comes from what we built call it arrogance but its fact based) produces a lot of ill will among the other SEC fanbases. We don't have any allies in conference. That is why I hate SEC pride, every other SEC program has benefited from being in conference with Alabama they just will never admit it.

So basically you are saying each team needs their own island for special fans. I agree.

If we do have a alli, it has got to be Kentucky. They are the only fanbase that understands what it feels like to dominate a big sport.
