Dear Doug,
Why in the FRIGGIN WORLD would you pull a man out of the game that is averaging 12.5 yards a carry? Are you so blind that you couldn't see the Oklahoma defense on their heels, or perhaps you missed Henry caring four Oklahoma starting defense players 7 yards after initial contact? I suppose you were too busy forcing AJ to run plays that were obviously scripted, a script that Oklahoma had as well. I suppose while pulling Henry, and going back to the passing game, you weren't thinking the defense needed to rest for longer than 3 minutes. I suppose you weren't thinking.
Again I ask you, why would you EVER want to change the core of what Alabama Football has been. Why would you EVER want to change the style of offensive we have after having two, not just one, but two 1000 yards rushers last year. All season long you have left Jalston Fowler on the sidelines as well, one of the biggest bruisers we have! Please explain this to me, because for all the tea in china, your play calling makes about as much sense as holding up a garage door size piece of gauze in front of a semi, expecting it to stop the truck. Nice analogy isn't it? That's exactly what Derrick Henry was doing last night and you PULLED him from the game to pass the ball again.
Alabama is a play action football team, play action football only works if you RUN THE BALL, and RUN IT WELL. I'm not sure if you know who Trent Richardson is, however you took his ghost out of the game last night, when he was performing the best. I'm not a football scholar, however that was the most idiotic thing I have seen an Offensive Coordinator do in many years.
I strongly suggest you take this time between now and A-Day to reevaluate the talent on the team, study what is strong and not, because after watching the last two games play calling. I'm beginning to think you're not the right choice for SEC football. You call offensive plays for one of the greatest coaches in football.
You could find it in your mind to at least respect that if nothing else.
Alabama is Power Football. This is not a Playstation 4, we do not need all the flash and dash. Give us bruising, power, and complete demolition, the thing that brought Alabama Football into the spot light! Leave this flash in the pan crap to the amateurs....
THIS IS ALABAMA FOOTBALL!
WE DON'T JUST PLAY IT, WE LIVE IT!
GET YOUR MIND RIGHT.

This letter needs to be copied in to the Fire Nuss thread. I just realized it fell off the front page. The more I think about the game plan Nuss had going for us, the more angry I get. Just when I think I'm over it, I think about how little Henry had the ball, how we did nothing to relieve pressure from the oline. Just kept calling the same dang passing plays.

Jalston Fowler is very iffy on blocking though.
WHEN he makes a block, it's dangerous. I did notice a couple times he opened a hole, and Yeldon missed it. But when that happened with Henry, he just bulldozed through people.
Henry is the future of Alabama football, been saying it since fall practice. Dude is a manchild

My only remark is that I don't think the OC handles RB substitution patterns. Doesn't that normally flow through the RB coach? Just like I don't think Kirby determines which D-Linemen are rotating in and out of the game.
I'm sure the coordinators during game prep determine the depth chart (1st, 2nd, 3rd team, etc), but I just cant see a coordinator handling in game sub patterns.

Couldn't Nuss override Burns though?

Pretty sure they have it scripted out ahead of time that NS signs off on how many carries a guy gets per game and then they go with the hot hand. I am sure TJ was going to get more touches then the fumble and he got sat for a long time. Pretty sure Nuss did not make that call.

Couldn't Saban override both?
This issue wasn't on Nuss alone. Henry should've played more in the Iron Bowl. Yeldon just doesn't hit the hole anymore.
