that pretty much sealed the deal for Oklahoma...
Did he not see the play? How could an honest observer disagree with that call?

Probably just mad cause like you said, it sealed the game, or at least made things much harder.
It was without a doubt clearly pi though.

It probably wasn't as obvious live.

That's how Saban teaches it, sometimes that's hard for a ref to see in the heat of the moment. 9/10 times that interference goes uncalled because ref is not in a position to see it. It was clearly pass int and needed to be called.

If you saw the play from the POV of the LOS, it looked like a clean swat. He probably didn't have a good angle to see the interference.

no, but if the jumbotron in the superdome showed the same replay we all saw on t.v, there's no reason he shouldn't have seen how obvious the call was.

Good coaches scream at refs all the time, especially in crucial moments, see Coach K in bball or Belicheck etc etc.
On the other hand you get a Leslie Frazier/Art Shell coach in a coma approach.
i'll take the Saban screaming personally

The jumbotron in the Dome isn't so jumbo. We are supposed to get a big one in the next couple years. Its desperately needed.

It was really obvious from behind, but not so much from the side or front. Great technique, but blatant PI

It has zero effect. The good coaches know what works and what doesn't.

Because that never gets called against Bama in an SEC game

Yep. Bama DBs do that all the time and do not get called. That is why their secondary under Saban is so "good."
And, Bama OLinemen hold every play and do not get called. It is why their line is so "good."
It is amazing what happens when Alabama has some refs that are not out of Birmingham.

Who gives a frick? That is what coaches do. Are you really trying to make this a big deal?

I wonder if he was pissed the flag came out late.
That poor ref saw the PI and knew he was about to get chewed out. Hesitated and then gingerly drops the flag onto the field

Although the penalty was legitimate, it seemed to me that it was thrown well after the end of the play - and after much booing by the Oklahoma fans. That made it look like the ref had listened to the fans but had not actually seen the play.
I doubt that it would have been as noticeable of a penalty from sideline level.
Finally, it is possible that Saban was upset with the player who committed the penalty.
Either way, I don't see that it's a big deal how he reacted - and I do not like him. It was a critical call at a critical moment in the game, as well.

In the world of Slimeball, that's offensive pass interference
