I wouldn't say that we're the best at it. Georgia still holds that title.

Cyrus might as well come back next year, because he just lost a 1st round pick and if anyone NFL team saw AJ tonight, he isn't getting drafted.

I hope Cyrus gets his false starting arse away from Ttown. I will mourn the day he announces he is coming back.

Cyrus played like a scout team member today.
He was toast all game long on pass pro.

Truth is, it's all or nothing under a Saban coached team. Sugar Bowl don't mean shite.

No, but the damage to Saban and Smart's reputations after the Iron Bowl is kind of irreparable now.

Next step is decline, and I don't mean the hashtagged trolling kind either.

Cyrus has always struggled with his footwork against speed rushers. That is why he is a late first rounder. He is more of a RT at the NFL level

Dude. We finished with an 11-2 season after winning back-to-back national championships. We played poorly in our final two games. It happens to the best coaches.

I'd say we started running on fumes by the Mississipppi State game.

I'd agree with that.

Teams have to be talented, they have to be lucky, they have to play hard every week, and they have to get breaks to win a National championship. Its a fact of life. The fact we won 3 out of the last 4 doesn't mean just because we show up we win. It takes everything going exactly perfect to win it all. Everything didn't this year. It is just a fact of life people.
We had to rebuild the OL and the Secondary. We missed on our evaluations of both positions a few cycles back. Guys left early, guys got hurt. That is what makes a championship season something to cherish and remember. Because they don't grow on trees no matter how much we have convinced ourselves of this the past few years.

Cheers guys we are still fans of the best program in College football with the best coach in the game.

We need a monster in the middle to shut down the run though.... Basically a second coming of Cody or Jesse Williams. I assume we hope Elam can be that if he picks us.

Exactly we were told all throughout 2010, that we would struggle until we got another Cody. And while Jesse was certainly more athletic than Terrence he was never another Cody.

He did what Cody's most important job was though (other than blocking field goals) and that was taking up two linemen every play and jamming any option straight down our guts which gave the defense one less thing to worry about.

yeah he did do a good job of that. No one on the roster at Nose currently demands a double (and they don't have to be a mountain they can overly athletic like Gentry was). But any team that runs Zone that can take our Nose with just a center that means a guard is getting a full head of steam on CJ. And I love CJ but he isn't the best guy to be getting off the blocks from a talented offensive guard.

Uhhh....no. More like 2010...and how did that work out? 11-2...that's what we call a "down year" at Alabama.
