To prepare for our offense...... Blah fricking blah fricking blah. This is the ESPN talking point along with the fact that their D coordinator is a former Saban staffer.

Note to ESPN: The best defense in the SEC had two weeks to prepare (Bama). We ran all the frick over them.

Why are we going to Pasadena again?

I posted this on the Rant recently:

quote:

- Despite playing in the SEC for all of 2013, Auburn will not be prepared for the SEC-like speed of FSU.

- Jeremy Pruitt is a better defensive coach than Saban, or anyone else in the SEC.

- The transitive property in college football only works when discussing Clemson beating Georgia early in the season.

- FSU is the only team that has been preparing for the BCS Championship game.

- Auburn hasn't thrown a pass in all of 2013.

- FSU's defensive players are much better than anything Bama put on the field this year, both in talent and understanding of the game.

- Yards = points

- Rush defense rankings for Auburn's opponents only count AFTER those teams played Auburn.

Well done.

It's also like Auburn has never played a good QB or better yet a Heisman winner.

Or faced a team with tall WRs that seem to be much shorter than anything Missouri had.

Oh and in 2013 every time Marshall throws a pass it turns into a pick six.

They're just trying to hype the game so more people watch. I think if you got some of these 'experts' to speak OTR you'd probably get a different opinion.

I'm a Negabarner through and through. However, even I give us a chance to win (a pretty good chance too). Weagle accurately surmises ESPN for the last 30 days. It's been awful.

They cannot replicate the vast majority of what we with thier scout team. They might have similar players but cannot do it at the tempo we run.

The time off might help with taking angles to the edges, so sweeps might not be quite as effective as normal.

Last I looked Saban was 6-5 lifetime against AU. So, not sure why being associated with Saban is a big deal here.

Last I looked Saban was 6-6 vs Auburn. He was 2-3 while at LSU and is currently 4-3 while at Bama. Never beaten a 9 win Auburn team.

Savan had Chattanooga the week before so he has two weeks to prepare for AU. I believe savan in two weeks is better than Pruitt, a first year guy, in one

ESPN will never pump AU when they have time to plan the conversation. However, the day after we trashed Mizzou - they were admitting our greatness. I think they were saying you can't stop it - you have to change the rules or something like that.
