there is almost no way to deny that we are about to experience a decline. it may be a slight slip, it might be huge. that mostly depends on the growth of our d. but we can't discount the effect losing jff and Evans will have on the other side.

Texas making a new hire is huge. the right hire can kill our momentum on the recruiting trail. it probably won't be instantaneous. but, a momentum swing over two seasons will be tough to overcome, but not insurmountable.

there are three hires that scare the site out of me. briles strong saban. saban isn't happening. the other two could. they would both be a great move for the Sippers.

the Aggie d has to make a tremendous move forward this offseason . if not we go from a 9 win program to a 5 win program. 2014 is the most important season in our history.

It's not even snicker-worthy anymore.

But good luck w the new hire.

now that the predictable responses are out of the way. where are the reasonable posters with valid points?

Here's a valid point:

Your defense is probably the worst I have ever watched in the SEC.

We won't miss Evans much. Ricky Seals Jones and Kyrion Parker will beast.

And we are loaded at QB with Sumlin at the helm. Not worried about offense at all as long as Cedric and Jarvis come back.

D is unknown but I'm confident it will not be as bad as this year. Might be bad but not this bad.

We'll win 8 games in a down year. Not too shabby for a program still building.

It was the worst in the SEC. Surely they will just keep getting worse every year.

So this year was a down year with the greatest NCAA QB of all time??? Smoke another one AG. Your gonna drop from 4th to 5-6 in the west.

Um, any Texas hire short of Saban can't stop Texas bleeding talent to the SEC. Plus we are pretty insulated if Texas's new coach has a good first recruiting year as next year is a small class in a state dominated by early recruiting.

2015 is the critical year IMHO.

(I know I know I have just wanted to say that for a while).

Absolutely it was a down year.
Texas A&M was dead last in every defensive category.
Not sure why you find that so funny?

I don't know why you give any of these threads a serious response.
