Recruiting has gotten out of control. I enjoy every minute of it but good lord I'm more worried about 1/2 than 1/1.
What changes would you make to the process if you could ? For me it would be an early signing period and not just for EE guys.

I don't worry about recruiting at all. It's fun to follow, but I know that Bama is gonna bring in top classes year in and year out. And they will develop that talent, as well. I would never sweat the team not getting a kid. As a matter of fact, the high school kid stalkers I find very strange.

I like the idea of early signing and even more so for EEs. Not only would it settle some of the chaos down it world let a lot of these players just enjoy their time at events like this.
The other thing I would is create a dead period for these reporters at events like this. I have actually been at the UA game and it is worse than paparazzi there. They are hounded the moment they are out of their rooms. Should only let the reporters come in on game day for announcements.

Early signing period would have to have stipulations that allow the player out of said signing. In the end, it probably wouldn't change anything. Keep in mind that while "signing day" is in February, nobody has to sign then.

I've learned that Saban will always bring in a good class. Even if it's not the #1 class, I trust in Saban to coach them up. No one player will make or break the class.
I usually lurk in the recruiting threads but the logic among the regular posters here is laughable.

Agreed. But no more than everything else in life (everything is over the top now). I am an average man with an average job but everyday when I walk into work I think "who forgot to play my theme music?"

um, that would defeat the purpose. At least with an early signing ,programs like yours would have to pay out earlier in the process.
