Are you For or Against other SEC teams winning bowl games...

About 5 or 6 years ago, I pulled for every SEC team to win their bowl games. Now, I only pull for the SEC east teams to win their bowls. Why? The landscape in the SEC west has drastically changed over that last few years. These teams continuing to be successful doesn't make our path any easier.
Challenging for the west
1. For most of the the BCS era, LSU had only one team that they had to worry about beating in the west. It was Auburn and more recently Alabama. There wasn't any doubt that if LSU beat either one of those teams that the SEC west would be won by the victor. Occasionally, Arkansas would be that team we really had to work to be but they never have been the challenge that Bama or Auburn are to win the west. At this point, it's not just that one team. Texas A&M and Ole Miss have jumped into the mix.
Recruiting
2. Everyone has known that LA has some of the best prospects in the nation. Both Auburn and Bama have recently snagged in-state prospects that LSU really wanted. Ole Miss and especially Texas A&M have made it a priority to go after the best LA kids each year. Ole Miss has a commit from DT McDowell and the Aggies had made a focus on getting Kids from New Orleans and North La.
Hate
3. I hate Bama. I have LSU friends that if LSU doesn't have a shot at the title then we need to hope that Bama gets in because that gives the SEC the best chance of continuing their streak. I don't care about the streak. If Bama or any other SEC west team wins the title, it just makes it tougher for us. They get more exposure. They look more attractive to LSU prospects. And they will get more support for program (better facilities, increased salaries, etc.) which only makes them stronger.
I don't mind cheering for teams in the East, but I don't see any good coming from SEC west teams being success in their bowl games. The more instability and turmoil our SEC west brothers have, the better for the Tigers.

Always pull for SEC, never pull for Bama.

I hope every other SEC team loses every game they play.

Always pull for the SEC, except for Ole Miss

More success for Aggies, Auburn and Ole Miss does us no good brother. I completely agree with you on Bama. Never ever route for them.

I'm certainly never going to root for Bama, Auburn, Ole Miss, and Arky. Those teams winning does nothing to help LSU. I hope FSU stomps Auburn.
I'll pull for SCar because they're in the East and Spurrier is a BAMF. Dad was a gator so I grew up watching Spurrier vs Bowden.
Miss St is never a threat, they can win their bowls for all I care.

Jesus you typed too much. Having read none of it....
I pull for SEC in bowl games. Always have. I would not have pulled for Bama in the 'ship this year though. Eff that noise.

I don't mind seeing any of the east teams win their bowl game. I also agree with u on MSU. Because I live in Houston and the Aggies are now in the SEC, I definitely won't be pulling for them.

I always say frick the sec, but once the game starts I find myself rooting for the sec team. I hate Bama, but I'll prob even root for them against OK. Although I see the logic in wanting them all to lose.

I will never cheer for a team we recruit against, unless that team's winning puts us in the SECCG for whatever reason.
So - Auburn, Bama, Florida, ATM, Ole Miss and sometimes UGA and Arkansas can go frick themselves.

The 'SEC fan' stuff only made sense when we (as a group) were competing with other conferences for top billing, which translated into better bowl picks, better TV coverage, and all around prestige. These days the SEC gets more/higher bowl picks than it deserves, I can watch half of Vandy's season from my living room, and even the most biased of TV commentators doesn't has the guts to doubt which conference is best.
I'll root for the teams if I like them more than their opponent, but the rest can lose for all I care.

What does ROOTING for another team really mean... Do you sit there and say "oh CRAp".. I mean they are games.. I watch ALL bowls games for entertainment/... Which is what they are...

I might pull for Vandy and State this year.
Never liked Florida State when Bowden was there and I really do not care for Jimbo Fisher since I had a 3-minute conversation with him in 2011. (He was recruiting a kid at the school where I taught.)
