Yea, did you guys see their performances in their bowl games over the weekend? You really wanted to play that?

I'm happy that our bowl opponent is Nebraska again.

Yep, I'd have loved to play either one of those teams, if nothing else than to at least give us something to get fired up about by playing a new opponent. To my knowledge we haven't played michigan since 65 and I have no idea the last time we played miami.

1. We tend to play down to our opponent.

2. At least we likely would have pulled away in the third quarter on talent alone and felt good about the showing.

3. frick Nebraska.

Why the heck would you NOT want to beat the crap out of Miami or Michigan in a bowl game?

I think people discount the brand Nebraska is. They're #3 all time in wins.

I agree Nebraska is a great brand name opponent. It's just we beat them last year. It would be great to beat them two years in a row, but I would've liked a shot at a team we haven't played in eons - like Miami or Michigan.

But I'd rather play Nebraska again than Wisconsin, Iowa, or even Michigan State.

How much did the athletic department pay you to post that?

The original one.

I get what you are saying, but I don't think anyone (besides you) shares this sentiment.

I am pretty numb to the matchup at this point. Early on, I was legitimately pissed off at the matchup, bowl selection process, etc. However, now I am just apathetic. This season has been a complete and utter disaster so it is only fitting that we end it by playing a team that we played last year and in a stadium that I was at 2 months ago.

Its not anything negative towards the Huskers. For me its the simple fact we beat them last bowl. If we lost last time, id be fired up for this one, like Nebraska.

Ours guys would be pumped for michigan or even miami. Did you see their reactions to the announcement of this game?

Both teams would have looked a lot better against our defense. Louisville and Kansas St. are legit and both would probably have beaten us in a bowl game this season.

Nobody cares how they play, its all about how we play. Also, bowls are for playn different opponents, not the same ones over again.
