How could you have arguably one of the greatest seasons of all time, and not cross the 50 yard line in the NC to team you already beat? Still thinking about that one.

There were a lot of factors that contributed to that debacle, not the list of which was a well prepared Alabama team.

Their offense had some flaws the entire year, mostly because Jefferson was wildly inconsistent at QB. They just played a more motivated Alabama team with one of the greatest defensive units to ever play football, and the offense got absolutely derailed. Their defense played very well in that game, they just cracked after being put out to dry over and over again.

But you're right. All that being said, that 2011 LSU team had a swagger about them all year. They never seemed to have that swagger in the national title game that year, for whatever reason. Looked like they didn't want to be there.

Don't flatter yourself.
It was a weak thread.
You came off looking kinda dorky.

I don't think anyone doubts that Alabama was the best team in 2011. But when you stacked their actual resume up with Oklahoma State from that year, OSU honestly appeared, to me at least, to be more deserving. I think the "eye ball test" was way to heavily weighted that year.

It also seems very unfair that LSU had to play an extra game against Georgia in the SECCG, which theoretically could have knocked them out of the NCG should they have slipped up, while Alabama, simply because they LOST to LSU, got to take the week off and didn't have to risk anything.

The whole situation was kind of awkward.

We weren't a much better team than Alabama in November. Couple that with the fact that there was a locker room fall out, and a team divide, and you get a completely absent effort.

That's all just too bad.

You got us so good, it's personal now. It wasn't before, but it is now. You can say what you want about our culture, our traditions, our Heisman winner (which do you have a recent one?), our campus, our stadium, lack of women, our 8-4 record, etc.

But by god don't you dare say anything about our OOC schedule. That cuts right to the bone
