There appears to be some Speedy to ATM rumors going around.

How do y'all feel about him?

LSU and aTm both feel good. Unless something new has come out today, most outside recruiting writers think he's going to end up at LSU.

A&M might fit his style a bit more, but I'd be shocked if he ended up anywhere but Baton Rouge.

He would be better suited to go to ATM and be a play maker as a do it all type player in the spread. LSU's O is more of a pro set and doesn't fit his strengths the best, but heck, hard to argue with LSU's production on O this year as well. I just think he would be better utilized in ATM's offense.

Would be a new years miracle if he ends up in CS

I was hearing some rumblings earlier in the week that he was leaning to aTm...from some usually reliable people.

However, they have changed their tune as of today, so I don't know what to say.

Just curious to see what y'all have heard around CS.

Speedy will look good in any offense. Period. Had LSU not corrected its offensive woes from previous years and shown amazing balance this year, I'd think he'd be heading to A&M. LSU can thank Cam Cameron if Speedy ultimately chooses LSU (which I believe he does)

Taylor Hamm thinks he's going to A&M as of his 247 crystal ball prediction today. A&M is going to get a kid LSU covets sooner rather than later. Speedy could break every receiver record in the books wearing maroon, and even though Cam might have opened it up more for LSU, they won't feature Speedy as a playmaker like we will. If we get him, it will be because of that.

Hamm basically admitted he's taking a shot in the dark against what the data suggests.

He will look good in every offense, but LSU doesn't sling it around like A&M does. Speedy would put up really big numbers in Baton Rouge, but would always be second fiddle to Fournette, or whichever running back they guy got, and isn't going to have anywhere close to the QB talent throwing it to him. He would crush almost every record you think of if he signed with the good guys.

True, and Hamm isn't really great at predictions, but at least someone has seen enough to actually put it out there.

aTm can't produce 2 1000 yard WRs like LSU does.

second fiddle to a RB?

What? Let's be serious here.

Speedy might be the best player on the field, but look at what LSU did with one of the best WR duos in the country, a statue for a QB who was a senior this year... you still ran the ball 61% of the time.

Look I'm not saying Speedy goes to A&M, I'm just saying he would be more productive in our offense. Do you really dispute that?

Receivers over 182 yards:

A&M - 7
LSU - 2

Receivers over 200 yards:

A&M - 6
LSU - 2

Receivers over 500 yards:

A&M - 4
LSU - 2

Receivers over 600 yards:

A&M - 3
LSU - 2

It's ridiculous to think A&M isn't capable of having 2, 1,000+ yard receivers, or that somehow being some sort of indication that Speedy wouldn't put up better numbers in our system. It's delusional to think otherwise.

Would he considering we just had TWO 1000 yard recievers?

I dont see how it's a slam dunk he definitely would put up bigger numbers there. Even if he did, it wouldn't matter NFL wise and would be a pretty small difference anyways.
