FSU is a beast but Gus is an offensive genius. If the Auburn defense can hold FSU to 28 or 31 pts I think they can win. It would be nice to keep the crystal ball in State. I know I should not root for Auburn but I hope they win it all.

FSU has always been way ahead of their opponents and thus the opponents become one dimensional, throwing to catch up. If you know what's coming then it's not as hard to defend. FSU has played non one except Clemson. They haven't faced power running like Auburn has. Auburn by 10 or more. Might not be that close.

The following are facts: I hope Auburn loses. Auburn will not lose.

I think Auburn will win, but this is the silliest thing I've ever seen.

Auburn shouldn't pull for Alabama to win National Championships, and Alabama shouldn't pull for Auburn.

There is literally no benefit to either program for their rival to win a championship - except for the money that gets split with the rest of the SEC. And neither program needs money.

Case in point - this year's Auburn Tiger football team that beat Alabama was largely assembled after the 2010 National Championship run.

"State pride" is silly. It directly hurts Alabama/Auburn for the other to win a national championship.

SEC teams should pull for SEC teams in the bowls. We need the conference to remain strong in the nation's eyes for us each to have a shot every year at winning it all.

Recent success will take care of that for a while.

I'm just trying to avoid coming across as the "arrogant Bama fan"... but in all seriousness - Bama doesn't need the rest of the SEC to win anything I don't think. Due to our past success, we'll be given the benefit of the doubt more times than not.

I pull for teams like Vandy and Kentucky when they make it... and occasionally the Mississippi schools. That's usually about it.

Honestly I know the majority of our fans (AU & UA) don't feel this way but I always want to keep it in state. Other fans can't understand this cause they've never had the chance when talking college football with an outsider about their own state. Comes in handy for my own use if I'm being honest.

Auburn can beat FSU, but FSU can definitely beat Auburn.

Not that it means anything, but I think this Auburn team is the weakest of the SEC representatives in the BCSNCG since the streak started and FSU is the strongest opponent since the streak started.
