When Will the Gators Return to Prominence?

It wasn't that long ago that Florida was winning National Championships and Tebow was in the spotlight. There seems to have been a falloff with Muschamp (outside of 2012 which still had the disappointing bowl loss) and I know there were some key injuries this year but how far are the Gators from getting back into the thick of it again? I've heard the grumblings about Muschamp but it looks like he's there at least for next season. I'm guessing recruiting is still good but what changes need to be made to the program?

Have you been under a rock?
"some injuries" ? Do you know how many injuries we had? Was is more or less than UG this year?

They are a decent OC away from being in the hunt.
That's about it.
That's about it.

a lot sooner than the piggies sniff relevance

No I understand about this year, but I'm talking more about getting things back to where they were during UM's best years and I didn't know if the fans believed that current coaching was the real issue or whether there is more to it than that.

When they get a competent QB.
Seriously, 2012, hell even 2011, give them a competent offense and they may be SEC Champions.
Well not in 2011, but they'd have been a lot better.

Within the next two years imo. Of course that's assuming that Boom just got fricked over with injuries and a bad OC. If Boom isn't the man then they are a few years away. I think you'll see a ten win UF team next year.

They lost it when Mullen left. Urban and Mullen together had a way of winning the big ones. Florida's fall was dramatic after Mullen's departure.

Long before the Hogs ever reach relevance.

Don't think we'll have a run like UM did. That's unsustainable.

How long does Driskel have left? Is there any promising talent at QB on the roster right now?

From most of the posts it sounds like coaching changes are necessary--maybe not the HC though.

OP asks question about Florida, gets replies about Arkansas.

I actually totally agree. I always loved Mullen. We were still great for a few years without him, but that was because our team was fricking ridiculously talented.
There were a few years after Mullen left where our team was really really good, but still incredibly frustrating to watch on offense. After Tebow left, we were unable to develop QBs and our talent level on offense dropped, but our coaching still stunk. Shouldn't bee too hard to find a good offensive coordinator to come to Florida.

In the legal field we call it being non-responsive to the question. But fortunately most have been informative and responsive.
