Damiere Byrd injured his knee in practice this week. Per USC, he is expected to undergo arthroscopic surgery, out for bowl game.

Sucks as he really came on this season. We'll need Roland to step up big now. Shaq had some of his better games towards the end and looks to getting back on track after his suspension, but it definitely is a huge hit to our depth at WR...

Yeah its not an injury that is devastating to our offense but he was certainly a useful tool to have.

Damn ... hate to read this. I love that kid. I've met him on several occasions and he is truly a special special person that has overcome so much to get where he is. Just an absolutely wonderful person to be around. Very polite, very respectful, very grateful to be here and we are very lucky to have him. He will go down as one of my favorite players ever. I'm hoping if they do the surgery now maybe he can make it back in time for summer/fall practice.

wow, that sucks, he was one of our best options to stretch the field. If it was an ACL, I feel like they would've mentioned it by now. I bet he's going to come back next season even better.

Byrd is the word

Luckily a torn meniscus isn't too severe. He should be back by Spring. I tore mine playing basketball in 10th grade, and I was back playing about 6 weeks after surgery.
