I do not care. My facebook has blown up all day bc of this. I read what he said and I don't think it was overtly offensive, but ppl are bound and determined tk make an issue of anything. That includes the fans and christians that are up in arms about it.

Phil, CFA, etc have a right to their opinions (which were not exactly anything I would classify as "harsh" btw). But, unless you come out in support of anus drilling, you should be prepared to be labeled the worst thing that ever happened to the LGBT community. It's a double standard.

Sure they do. And they should know that saying something as blunt as that is gonna have blowback. The LGBT community is a bunch of whiny assholes and the other side thinking that their freedom of speech or christianity is being attacked are also assholes.
Everyone is overreacting and it's annoying. Phil spoke his mind and A&E responded with a business move. Nothing more but each side is freaking the hell out.

And it's one that will probably bite them in the arse. DD is the most watched cable reality show of all time. It's the only reason people tune in to their station. Either this is just a publicity move to pay lips service to the belligerent activists or they just cost them and Disney a shite ton money.

Disney will be fine and if it hurts A&E's pockets enough they can bring back the old man and label it as a warning.
When ya got a guy comparing gays to nazis and beastiatlity it's kinda hard to sit on your hands. Unless you're the Eagles and your WR drops N Bombs and you wait till he catches some TDs for everyone to forget. Everyone has their limits.
Either way this situation is stupid and people in an uproar either way are embarrassing themselves.
Plus, that show is scripted as frick, IDGAF if it dies off

Phil Robertson does not have a "right" to a show on A&E. A&E can do whatever they want.......
With that being said though...............we live in the fricking Twilight Zone full of overly-sensitive PC emasculated weakling cowards.......so, this type of ridiculous situation in the year 2013 shouldn't be a shock to anyone.
What's the actual number of the gay population in this country anyway?
Probably not even 1 percent, right? Yet...........if you turn on the cable TV, you'd think that 30 to forty percent of the world is gay. I mean, every show has a token gay. Every news story has to be inclusive of the gay perspective. Gays marching for the right to teach your kids about gayness. ANd on and on. I don't hate gay people. And I won't go out of my way to let them know that it makes me gag to think about what they do in their bedrooms.....but enough is enough.
The real thing to watch for here, imo.......is if the Robertson's take a stand......or if they cave to the finger-wagging busy-body PC police. It's not like they need the money. So, if they cave and give in to this bullshite............that tells me they have been sucked into the fame of it.
And that'll be sad.

I honestly don't think he meant any hatred by them, he's just stating what he believes. It shouldn't be surprising to anyone because he's an outspoken born again Christian.
