What would happen if Alabama just showed up in Pasadena on Jan 6?

I did not know Red Bull has a magazine. It appears I haven't missed anything by not knowing this.

Seems it was written mid-season

It's a shame that the two best teams aren't playing in the BCS Title game, but this has happened many times throughout CFB history. This even happens in other sports too. I walked into a doctor office full of Gator & FSU fans the other day. They all were expressing their disappointment that FSU wasn't playing Bama for it all. I suppose I can't blame them, it's the game most wanted to see.

If Bama is one of the two best teams, then blame Saban and his distractions for Bama not being there.

And who gets the credit for Bama having the best team?

They lost what was the western division championship game, at the end of the year when there was no doubt what was on the line. Therefore, I don't think they are one of the best two teams. But, just to play along, assuming they were one of the two best teams, that credit would go to the players. Coaches give players the credit for the wins, and take credit for the losses. At least most do.

Saban has blame because he called a bad game. It's happened to the best of the over the years, and it will happen again. It'sa a team sport and I don't even blame our Fg kicker for that loss. He shouldn't even been in that position in the end if Bama takes care of business beforehand. Bama wins as a team and loses as a team. Saban or no Saban...

I don't mean it has a knock against Auburn because they're a very solid team, but they're just not dominate this season. Especially with that defense they've got, but their DL is worthy. Do Auburn fans really think they've had one of the two most dominate team this year? They just had solid fortunate season and had a great night during the Iron Bowl. Anyone watching that game could see it was Auburns's night no matter what Bama did. I've seen that a bunch of times throughout the years, and it will happen again. That's CFB, upsets happen. Especially on the road in a heated rivalry game.

USC has missed the Title game a few times while having one of the two best teams in the Nation. Sorry Auburn fans, I didn't make most of the CFB world think Bama and FSU still have the two best teams this season. There's no shame in reaching the Title game while realizing things feel your way. Shoot, Bama in 1992 had to hear this all the time when they barely won games sometimes. That's the bed you make when you just get by, and others didn't make that bed. Kudos to Auburn for taking total advantage of the oppertunities thrown their way this season. They deserve all the love thrown their way, it's been earned. I think this seasons Auburn team is likable and I'll actually pull for them this time around. We really like their RB Mason and he has an Ingram like demeanor about him.

Bama had them down and could have put them away, so not sure how you can say it was just Auburn's night. If Bama were the dominate team you speak of, they would have buried them when they had the chance.

Bama doesn't have the won't be denied gene this year. I think all the youth on this team never being burnt by their mistakes. Contributed to this demeanor somewhat, but this might end up being the best thing for them.

Bama is very talented, but to young at many positions
Without AJ, Mosley, and Mr. Clutch Norwood
Bama would've been lost this year

Doesn't matter. We are better than bama on the field head to head.

Football is about matchups as well as coaching and talent. Fact is AU is better than bama when it is AU vs Bama and that is what it came down to this year.

Next year may be more of the same and I expect we will be better than bama again when we meet.

Hell, we might get a chance to beat bama twice next year.

Just wrong on many levels - they put Alabama in the title game, and then imply that Missouri can reach the title game - by beating Alabama in the SECCG, of course

Please shut up. If you were "better" than Auburn you should have beat them. Stop whining.
