I'll start it off by leaving this here:

Collegiate Baseball ?@CBNewspaper 15h
@3strikes_MSU Fabulous pitching coach Butch Thompson of Mississippi St. has 15 pitchers on his staff who throw 90 mph-plus. #studcoach

Who will our starting rotation be iyo?

What's our lineup look like? TIA

Lemme hear about the new guys and redshirts.

Is Reid Humphreys really that good already?

Can we get Todd4state on this board, because that would be swell. Thanks

We are really lucky that Butch Thompson seems to love coaching at MSU. I thought he would be gone by now.

Cohen has a few tricks up his sleeve with our new guys especially our 5 TRUE freshmen popping 90+ on the Jugs Gun

Their preseason rankings come out tomorrow I'm pretty sure. Probably a good sign for where we'll be if they are interviewing us on the front end...

1)Woody
2)Fitts once through/Lindgren(in the Girodo role which is more like a traditional starter IMO)
3)Rotating door of whoever wins the job. Guessing it's primarily between Young and Hudson -- but have a bunch of other possibilities.

No clue on this. With the depth we've got now, I expect us to play 15+ guys a ton on the front end and then establish an consistent lineup alot later on. I figure all we know on the front end is that Rea, Bradford, Detz, and Pirtle are going to consistently be in the lineup somewhere.

Cohen says that Detz told him he thinks he could be the best player to ever wear the maroon and white(I think it's in the video linked).

IMO we have several guys ahead of Fitts. Don't count out Preston brown for a starter spot either, he had a pretty good fall..

It really could change a lot early on in the season because of the depth we have

How much do you guys think the world series run with affect attendance? I think it is gonna help a lot. If we stay one of the top teams in the conference all year I bet we might set some school season records.

That's basically a setup/once-thru-the-lineup role. Ideally you don't waste one of your best arms filling it. I think of it as essentially Lindgren is the starter of a 6-7 inning game -- where we stacked the matchups in his favor by starting a RHP that couldn't be much more different stylistically...

I think actual attendance will be up a ton. We had several hundred make it to the weekend scrimmage games during football season -- when I think Gene is the only person we could even get scrimmage reports from last year. The increase in coverage all-around has been tremendous.

Betting season tickets don't fluctuate hardly at all. Maybe go up a couple hundred with first-time buyers not cognizant of the fact that they are buying bleacher seats.

That's a pretty big problem for the new architects at Dudy Noble. More seats or fewer seats? We can sell many more season tickets for decent seats. But we're still faced with the same problem of filling the seats on a regular basis and making it look full on tv.

In this day and age, there isn't much excuse for not filling seats. University sets up a program for simple clicks to say I am not using these seats at a game. University can sell my seat and pocket the money. They give me credit for a donation. Done.

I'm with you on that.

I don't even see the major trouble with going full-fledged general admission in midweeks and non-conference with the understanding that IF an actual seat holder shows up, you move without a fuss. They could even mark the seats where people come 50% of the time to keep people out of them.

Woody

I played with BW a few summers ago. Most of the players were on the team were freshmen in college. He was a sophomore in high school and had the best arm on the team.

I hope he has a great year for y'all. I hated to hear about his injury last year.

Yeah -- he's been lights out all fall. Up to 96 now with one of the sharpest 12-6 breakers I've seen. Completely nasty.

I just hate that we're only going to get 2 years out of him. Really less...

He never pitched much for us that summer. Most of the guys were college kids who were trying to get their innings in. Everyone knew his future was on the mound though. Tanner Gaines was also on that team. Where is he now?

Left MSU and went to JUCO. Signed with Raffo at Arky State for next year.
