Is he worth the headache for a year is the real question.

Personally, I don't think so. Seems like a "me" first type of guy. I don't think he'll buy into what any coach is doing, if it doesn't benefit him the most.

He's insanely good but he's a total shite head. I've seen him ejected from 2 games and I've seen him play in 2 games.

I've seen this stated a lot. Like a lot a lot.

this is also true. It's why I've always been skeptical of him. His talent is off the charts but he does appear to have an attitude problem.

He's a take for almost every school. I'd take him at LSU, but there's a chance he's just not worth it.

can't really find a better place to ask this... but does anyone know why D'haquille is only a 4 star composite? He's a 5 star on Rivals, 247, and Scout.

247 doesn't share how they calculate composite so only Shannon Terry knows

loses points for being a juco and having only 2 years of eligibility?

I really doubt that is factored into the equation. I mean, if 247 put that much stock into it, he wouldn't be a 5 star on their site.

In don't know if it is or it isn't, but it would make sense if it was.

Maybe that is part of the difference from their formula for regular evaluation vs. composite. It was just a guess. I have no idea.

Eta:

quote:

All major media services share an equal percentage in the 247Composite Rating.
The composite index equally weights this percentage among the services that participate in a ranking for that specific prospect.

A composite strength meter, indicated by red bars, illustrates the total number of industry services that have ranked the prospect. A full strength meter indicates the prospect has been ranked by all industry services participating in the composite.

All industry services have a different philosophy on number of "stars" distributed with each class. The 247Composite Rating assigns stars based on an approximate average distribution of stars from the industry.
May have something to do with this.

Scout doesn't factor in JUCO's into rankings, or at least they didn't before.

He's a 4 star on ESPN and graded an 85?

That doesn't make any sense but the only thing I can think of.

They've got both

JUCO

High School

I think 247 may be pulling Scout's high school eval though.. that would drag everything else down.

Not true. He was ours if we wanted him.
His attitude is why he isnt coming to LSU.

While he gets a lot of yards after the catch, Williams isn’t as elusive as he could be and he can let his temper get the best of him in critical situations that hurts his team

I don't think he would continue to act this way once he's at a major university. I wish him look and represents Louisiana well. I'm still #ride4quille

Not saying it isn't true, but how do you know this information?

Extremely talented. I really wanted to him to play at LSU next season to help cushion the experience dropoff at WR, but I never expected him to after hearing about all of his off the field issues. Auburn got a good one. It doesn;t hurt quite as much as losing Dupre, Quinne, or Noil would be, however.

Losing a one year player is hard when he is this good but it isn't make or break. For Auburn it is huge since he is a missing piece we need

Auburn needs to have strong leadership on their team or else a player like D. Williams could turn the locker room upside down if things doesn't go his way. Super talented player, gigantic ego, uncontrollable emotions. Question for Auburn fans, who are your projected leaders for next season?
