Comparing LSU 03-11 and AU 04-13...

Let's assume that auburn beats FSU. You'd have:

Nattys:

AU 2, LSU 2

SECs:

AU 3, LSU 3

Wests:

AU 3, LSU 4

BCS Bowls:

AU 3, LSU 4

Wins:

I don't know the numbers but feel fairly confident that LSU has a good bit more.

So it would seem LSU's would be better.

I don't know. Both would have two BCS titles...same as Florida. But LSU would have been to 3 title games, losing one. Auburn would have been to 2 (and should have played in a third). And what about overall records over that period. Should that be taken into consideration?

And in the end, does it matter?

Revisit it all you want. LSU was still in 3 national title games to Auburn's 2. Even though I agree that Auburn got shafted in 2004.
