I think I'm going to see how the bowl season/recruiting wars play out before making any 2014 predictions.
LSU was a very young team at some very key positions, this season. The youth movement should carry into the 2014 season as well, with some of the incoming talent getting significant playing time.
I'd also like to say that I've been impressed with our two newest conference members- A&M & Mizzou. I seem to remember most not giving them a snowball's chance in Hell of being competitive in this league for the early years- but needless to say they've both had an exciting two years.
They are BOTH worthy competition. I'm glad to have them.

If you don't believe your team can go undefeated before any games have been played, what's the point of being a fan? No matter the school.

3 point wins against ole miss in consecutive seasons doesn't point to a&m being head shoulders above ole miss. But we'll ignore how ole miss is returning more than a&m, and that you are losing your best qb in a&m history.
JFF a&m football is only 3 points better than rebuilding ole miss football.
Congrats?

There's a big difference between can and will. Most years I'd say we "CAN" go undefeated, but I have never in my life said we will go undefeated.

SEC West
1) Alabama
2) LSU
3) Auburn
4) Ole Miss
5) Miss. State
6) Texas A&M
7) Arkansas
SEC East
1) Missouri
2) South Carolina
3) Georgia
4) Vanderbilt
5) Florida
6) Tennessee
7) Kentucky
I flipped Auburn and Alabama position in the west mostly due the difficulty of schedules and Auburn hasn't exactly looked like a complete team this season.Unless they up their defense, I expect them to lose some of the close call games they won this year.
I flipped Missouri and South Carolina also based on current schedule difficulty ,but its not nearly as big as the gap between Auburn's and Bama's Schedule.
The hard teams based of this season results (and potential teams that can rise)
Auburn
LSU
USCe
Georgia
Bama
Alabama
LSU
Auburn
Florida (Might be good but not likely)
USCe
Missouri
Georgia
Auburn
Florida
Missouri
USCe
Georgia
Florida
As you can see, Auburn has a bit of a gauntlet to run next year. I could easily see them going 2 out of 4. Even if they go 3 out of 4, if they lose to Bama they won't win the west. LSU will finish top 10 ,but I feel they might lose a random favored game somewhere if the wrong LSU team shows up.
All Missouri has to do is split Georgia/USCe and hope Florida is still crap. They will at the very least be Co-Champions.

Not necessarily. Whatever team they lose to will have to lose 2 SEC games for missouri to make the SECCG.

I know that ,but I just like Missouri's chances of winning the east and wouldn't be surprised if USCe or Georgia won it. What I mean by "Co-Champion" is like Bama this year. 7-1 in their Division ,but not going to the SECCG. Thats the worse I could see Missouri considering their schedule.
