Are you looking at the RT or Windows 8 version?

I don't own one, but based on what I've read, I would not recommend the RT.

but I have also seen to not get this one..

I bet the Windows 8 is lots of $$$

Bestbuy has one for $329 and Ebay had them all day for $250ish but refurbished so that scares me..

Helix, although the new gen tab 10 is great as well. and the business grade Yoga is the tits as well.

After seeing the internals of Lenovo compared to several other brands and talking to several COO's from several companies. I am going Lenovo for a while

I paid for the Surface 2 Pro, and I walked out of Best Buy paying $1200(with keyboard, new bluetooth mouuse, and office) and change, I really like it, and it fulfills all my requirements, it's fast, battery life is great, it has a USB port(how the iPad gets away with this I have no idea) it runs a few programs I need, and I have zero complaints. Until this, I was doing everything with my work laptop or phone, and now this is my source for everything. I love the bluetooth mouse and the keyboard, Microsoft Office functionality, but if I went back, I'm not sure if I could justify the price point compared to something else. It really is just my new laptop, but sleeker, better battery life, etc. I knew it was going to be my all in one before I went in to it, so I was okay with paying whatever... but if I went back I would look in to what I could get for the price equivalent. It might have ended up being the best bang for the buck, I'm not sure, but I would have looked in to it more.

Also as someone that used to use my gf's iPad for browsing the internet, I'll never get that thing ever. Not have a keyboard and mouse is just stupid.

I think the Surface Pro started at like, $899.

The Surface Pro can realistically replace a laptop. The RT platform is just a nightmare. It's a totally different OS, is not compatible with other Windows software, and it'll never have a comparable app market to google play.

My work bought two each of several tablet devices (Samsungs, iPads, Surfaces). One of the Surfaces blue screened out of the box.

I have a Surface Pro 2. Has had internet connection issues, just reset it per MS support advice, now Office won't install. Back on support as I type.

If I can get it working reliably, I think it will be great. Full office on a table would awesome.

Yes it is. First iteration was spectacular and should be able to get on the cheap. I've gotten to where if I'm buying a windows device it's going to be Lenovo every time.

i'll stop jacking off Lenovo for a second and say i have heard much better things about the surface 2 than i did the first one.

I agree, shell out the extra for a pro and not RT. other wise you have one giant windows phone that can't make calls.

Like I alluded to, I went to a product conference where we talked about new intel stuff, windows upcoming offerings and we got to inspect the entire product line, insides as well as using them. I was thoroughly impressed. especially in comparison to the other key players in the windows world. they were hands down better in every facet. one COO I was there with said they recently switched out their entire HP lines, for Lenovo for simply the reliability and better build quality
